I clicked on the shuffle button of my iPod and Beautiful by Carly Rae Jepsen started playing. I started to apply my makeup, while I sang along.
" I wonder where you are and if you think of me, sometimes cause you're always on my mi- " I chirped
But before I could finish the lyrics, I could hear my door bell ring from upstairs. I applied the last of my lipstick and ran down stairs.
I opened the door to see my gorgeous boyfriend of what was going to be 2 years . People always wonder about us. About how we stayed together for so long. We started having feelings for each other in middle school and I guess we just clicked together like two puzzle pieces.
" Hey beautiful " he smiled with his dimples peeking through
" Hi Jonathan " I smiled back
" Are you ready for school ? "
" Not even " I said pretending to run back into my house
" C'mon Dani, whose gonna help me pass out fliers to our welcome back game ? I need as much help as I can " he said trying to persuade me
" Oh alright " I sighed " Just let me get my backpack "
I grabbed my mint backpack with brown leather trim and said my goodbyes to my parents.
" BYE MOM BYE DAD !! " I yelled
" Bye honey " my dad replied
" What about breakfast ? " my mom questioned
It was times like this when I got really annoyed by her. I know shes my mother and she wants the best for me but she could stop treating me like I'm still 4.
" I'm eating breakfast at school "
" Oh alright, bye sweetie. I love you . "
" Love you too mom " I said slamming the door behind me
" But you never eat breakfast " Jonathan said
" I know " I chuckled as we started heading to school

" Alright class, eyes on me. " Mr. Thies, the choir teacher said
Hes without a doubt my favorite teacher. He was the one who taught me how to do whistle tones. I could spend hours in his class and it would only feel like 10 minuets. I guess I'm sort of the teacher's pet.
" We have a new student coming today. He's an exchange student from Canada. Who would like to help be his guide for the week ? " He announced
About 15 hands shot up in the air ,but me being his favorite student. He decides to choose me to help assist the new student.
" Now any questions ? " He added
My best friend, Jada raised her hand .
It was funny, our personalities were fairly different, but what kept our friendship alive was our love for music.
" Yes Jada " said Mr. Thies
" Where is the new student coming from ? "
" Actually he's not coming from that far of a place, he's from Canada "
No less then 4 minuets, a boy with soft rosy cheeks, chestnut brown hair , and a pretty defined jawline awkwardly walked into the room. He didn't look like most boys from my school who usually wore their new pairs or Jordan's and their name brand shirts. I found his individuality quite cute.
" Guys " Mr.Thies said raising his voice
" Now that I've for your attention I'd like to introduce you to our new student Shawn. "
" Uh hi " Shawn waved
" This is Danielle " Mr. Thies said introducing me to Shawn " She's here to help you around if you have any questions. I'll let you two get to know each other " he said walking off
" Um so why did you choose to sign up for the student exchange thing ? " I asked
" Well I thought that the music program would be way better here than at my other school. "
" Was it that bad over there ? "
" My teacher wasn't what you called experienced. He didn't teach us a single thing. "
" It's not like that here, Mr.Thies is the greatest teacher. He could teach a walrus to sing. "
" I'd like to see that. " He chuckled
Before I could laugh, the bell for the next period rang.
" Do you need any help finding your classes ? " I asked
" I'm fine. See you around Danielle " he smiled
" See ya Shawn "
