The bell for the next period rang and I made my way to History. Of course I was one of the first people there. I guess you could call me a goody goody but I had my moments of rebellion.
I took my place in my seat in the back off the classroom and let out a huge sigh. I wanted to leave this class as fast as I could, don't get me wrong, I loved history but all I wanted to do was go home.
" Uh hey Danielle "
I hear a presence beside me. I turned to see Shawn smiling.
" Oh hey Shawn " I smiled back
" Um do you mind if I sit here ? "
" No no go ahead "
" Thanks " he said awkwardly
" So how's your first day ? "
" Pretty boring, I've met some really nice people though "
" Oh " I replied
I had no idea what to talk about with him. I absolutely hated small talk, it was so awkward and it gave me a lot of pressure to try and not make a fool of myself.
" Class please take out your history books and turn to page 320 " Mrs.Randal said
As she kept talking I could feel myself slowly falling asleep and before I knew it the dismissal bell rang.
" So do you play any instruments ? " Shawn asked catching up to me as I was strutting out the door
Oh great more small talk
" Actually I do, guitar " I replied
" Really ? " he asked surprised " I do too "
" How long have you been playing ? "
" Since I was around 11 or 12 "
" Oh me too- " I said interrupted by Jada's yelling
" DANIELLEEEEEE !!! " she yelled walking up to us
" JADAAAAAAA !!! " I yelled back
" The science project is due tuesday right ? " she asked
" uh yea " I said remembering that me shawn were in the middle of a conversation
" You're new here right ? Shawn ? " Jada asked him
I bet she felt my awkward vibe and wanted to escape that zone. With me as her best friend, she has to do that a lot.
" Yes I am, and you are ? " Shawn asks
" I'm Jada, nice to meet you " she smiles back and giving me a cheeky look.
" I have to get going now, the new family I'm living with might get worried. It was nice meeting you Jada, you too Danielle. "
" Ok Bye " I said as he walked off
" Isn't he cute " Jada said
" He is attractive, but did you forget about your boyfriend ? "
" What about Matt's crush on Ariana Grande hmmnn ??? "
" Theres a HUGE difference !!! Ariana Grande is a major celebrity and Shawn is just a regular kid like us who goes to school like every other normal teenager " I said emphasizing the normal
