Me and my gang were shooting some hoops at the park. Until Mateo decided to tag along.
"Hey Jade." He said smiling. "Hi." I replied.
"The fuck going on here?" Asked Key. I rolled my eyes. "Please ignore him." I said to Mateo. "You play?" Asked JJ."I guess." Said Mateo with a shrug. JJ smirked and bounced the ball around, "think fast!" He yelled throwing the ball at Teo. My first instinct was to catch it before it hits him, But I was surprised that Teo actually caught it.
"Oh you got game?" I asked taking the ball from Teo. He blinked at me. "Bruh give me that ball back." I shook my head. "You gotta get it yourself.. baller" I said smirking.
He ran up to me, causing me to drop the ball. "Want the ball now you gotta get it." Said Teo.
We played for hours, it was 23- 24 I was only one point ahead of him, I wanted to keep it that way. When I play, I play hard. It's either me winning or no one.
"Ha. You was talking all that smack earlier. Now you have nothing to say." Said Teo poking his bottom lip out. He aimed the ball at the hoop and made it in. I bent down to catch my breath, "screw you." I said getting the ball.
"Nah I'm good."
"You're not funny."
"Yeah I am." Said Teo taking the ball from me. I laughed and sat down on the bench. I hadn't noticed how dark it had got until I actually looked around. My "brothers" were no where to be seen. They left me? Bitches...
"I'm tired." Said Teo sitting next to me. He passed me the ball. "Same." I said pushing my hair out of my face. "Has anyone told you you're pretty?" He asked.
That caught me off guard.
"Yeah... Why?"
"Oh nothing. It's just that you're pretty."
I blushed and looked down at my shoes and the ball. "Thank you. And you're not bad yourself, like you're handsome." I said not knowing what to say.
"Well I'm heading home. You need a ride?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. "You know I need a ride." I said, I stuck my hand out. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up to my feet.
"Thanks Teo." I said opening the door. "No problem Jade... But do you mind if I have your number, just in case you need anyone to talk t-"
"Yuh... You can have it." I said. He pulled his phone out and I put my number in. I then did the same so he could put his number in.
"Thanks again Teo." I said closing the door. I walked to my house and knocked on the door. I turned back to see Teo was still in the driveway probably waiting for me to go inside. I heard heavy footsteps then the door flew open.
"When the street lights come on yo ass needa be inside." Said my mom opening the door wide enough for me to step in. "Who are you with?" She asked shutting the door and locking it. "My new friend." I said. She looked at me sternly. "Bed." She said. I sat down on my bed, until I got a text from Mateo.
Mateo: Hey
Me: hi Teo
Mateo: wyd
Me: sitting in my room. Why?
Mateo: no reason you want me to pick you up for school?
Me: yeah.
Mateo: Alright see you in the morning luv.
I put my phone on the charger, and changed into my pyjamas.
He's ok I guess. I thought to myself.
He's nice, funny, interesting.
