When Rodtang had come to him heartbroken. Nine was there and showed kindness to him. He felt sorry for him. His own heart was breaking and he knew how much it hurt. Seeing Rodtang so down and sad was difficult. His empathy for Rodtang was just more proof of how much he loved that boy.
Had he been mistaken in his hopes?
Yes, hope, If Rodtang had to give up on Fuse, that meant there was hope.
Now "hope" was kicked out of the park, like an out of control soccer ball.
Nine wondered...
"If they hadn't noticed, Tee, would Rodtang have kissed Fuse?"
"Right there on the steps, would he?"
"Even though Fuse has already told him he has a lover?"
If what he suspected was true about Fuse and Tee, this would have hurt Tee as much as it did himself. Especially if Tee believed that Fuse was going to kiss Rodtang back.
Having been friends with Tee for a long time, Nine would ask him. "Tomorrow."
He did.
Making Nine promise never to tell anyone, Tee was honest. He told Nine that he was indeed seeing Fuse. He used his elbow to nudge Nine and raised his eyebrows when he bragged that they'd even had great sex. Saying: "It was hot."
"Wow !" .. There were so many thoughts running through Nines head at once.
"Yessss, that means Rodtang can't have Fuse."
"Oy" .. "that means my juniors are having sex before I am."
"God, is Rodtang going to come to me again with his broken heart?"
"What am I going to say?"
"Should I tell Tee that I like Rodtang?"
Tee could see what he thought might be shock, on Nines face.
It would never have occurred to Tee that Nine was a virgin in a million years, and it still didn't. He had no clue that Nine liked Rodtang.
Nine was admired by everyone for his grades. He was always being watched by one cute boy or another. There were even a couple of teachers who Tee thought would love to ravage Nine. If he being completely truthful, Tee would have to admit that more than once he studied the fine round backside on Nine. What he called a "perfect handful." He had always assumed that Nines sex life would be as active as his own.
