Mom woke me up at 7 before she left for work. Luckily she didn't have to go work yet, not until 7:30 so we had time to eat breakfast together and catch up. It was so good to be able to see mom before I left. She told me about her life at work and the newest gossip there. Tho it were only like 20. minutes it were the 20 minutes that I would cherish the most.
John was in front of my house just before 9 and I was almost ready when he came, I was wearing my sneakers and I held my jacket.
"Good morning beautiful, are you ready?"
"Good morning handsome and yes, I am."
I fetched my bag and i put her in the trunk of John's car. He had borrowed his fathers jeep.
"You never know how the roads are there, the roads aren't used that much." John had said when he asked his father for the car, tho it was the middle of July he was still worried about the road.
I had asked him as a joke if he was expecting a snow blizzard. John didn't find it funny but me and his dad laughed so much.
The trip to the summerhouse went well. We talked all the way while listening to John's new CD's and before we knew it, we had arrived.
The summerhouse was very cozy. It was on one floor andit had two bedrooms, a big living room, a cute kitchen and a bathroom with a huge bathtub.
"We sure can make us comfortable here for the next 4 days." I said and smiled. John laughed and put his arms around me.
"Especially in that bathtub." He said and winkled me, then we both laughed.
Me and John had a barbecue that night. We had lamb and potatoes. We ate outside, in front of the summerhouse.
It was so beautiful. The sun was almost setting and the sky was painted in red, orange and pink and that beauty doubled when it reflected in the water.
"It's perfect." I said.
"Especially because we are here together." John said and reached over the table and kissed me.
"Dude, I have lamb fat all over my mouth!" I said and laughed.
"No biggie, me too." he said and licked his lips.
After dinner we went inside and I made us tea. My favorite tea was Earl grey. I was a real genius in making the perfect Earl grey tea. When the tea was ready I put it in two cups and two spoons of sugar in each cup along with a few drops of milk.
Meanwhile John lighted some candles in the living room and sat down in the sofa. I came in with two cups of tea and sat down besides him. Then we just talked for hours and drank tea.
Afterwards we went to bed and curled up against each other.
I loved sleeping in his arms and feel his arms around me.
I was easily cold but John was so warm and he easily warmed me up in a sec.
We slept long the next morning, we didn't wake up until noon.
"Brunch?" I asked.
"Yeah." John said and yawned. He got out of bed and put on a pair of jogging pants. I always thought he looked so sexy when he wore nothing but jogging pants. John didn't have a six pack , yet he wasn't chubby. He was just perfect.
I followed John in the kitchen and he went to the fridge and fetched american pancakes , eggs and bacon and bread. Meanwhile I turned the oven on and fetched a pan.
John fried the bacon and eggs and I heated the pancakes and made tea and toast.
After brunch we went down to the lake. It was such a beautiful weather. The sun was shining and it was warm.
When we arrived at he lake, John took off his shoes and waded into the water. The sun made his blond hair messy hair look like gold and his blue eyes were light blue like the water. I took my shoes off and also waded into the water. -Thank god I wore my summer dress- I thought.
The water was a bit cold at first but I got used to it quickly. There were no sharp rocks on the bottom, only soft sand so I could walk straight to John's. When I came to him, he took my hand and then hugged me.
"I love you so much Maria, always have and always will." John said and kissed my forehead.
"I love you too John, so much." I said and hugged him tighter.
All of a sudden I felt something around my legs and John too, I could see it on the look of his face, he was startled. At first i thought that it was only sea grass but then it tighten around my legs and pulled so I fell and John too.Thank goodness we didn't go further in the water, we didn't go under it when we fell. We looked surprised and but then it pulled again!
We both screamed as it pulled us into the water and away from each other. I tried to grab John's hand but I couldn't find him.
The thing around my leg dragged me down and towards the bottom of the lake. I couldn't breath and I just saw the sun moving further and further away. Then I hit the bottom. I felt the sand and then something metal. But I couldn't think about that.
All went black.
