"You sure about this?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
Terry studied Aeron. "Are you going to do something illegal that will get you arrested and put away for life?"
He shook his head. "Nope. Arrested, perhaps, but for life, no. Just a little felony."
"Like what?"
"Kidnapping. Maybe a little terrorizing. Nothing too bad."
She sighed. "So I tell Karyl not to go ahead with her plan?"
"Exactly. Otherwise, she could get in trouble."
"Okay. I'll let her know."
Karyl gaped at her. "You want me to stop?"
Tarry nodded. "Aeron is going to deal with Brooklyn. Something came up and he's been told where she'll be. Trust me, darling. Whatever Brooklyn had planned for you was bad. Otherwise, Aeron wouldn't have been notified like this."
She sighed. "Okay, fine. I won't do it. And tell Aeron thanks."
"Will do."
Aeron smiled at the struggling form on the bed. He wasn't going to do anything to harm her, per se. But a little mental stress could do some good.
Just have to keep her for three days. Then we're all good.
Rubbing his hands together, he tilted his head. "I wonder, Brooklyn. What happens when you're left entirely alone in the dark?"
He heard her breathing stop. "No. No, please don't. I don't want to be left alone. PLEASE!!"
With a soft chuckle, he left the room and shut the door on her screams.
Breathing in the early winter air, he slid down the door to the shed in the woods. He'd discovered the place years ago. Abandon and forgotten, the little shed was used to store old broken machinery that no one had any use for.
And no one remembered where it was, either. Not since Aeron had sought out and destroyed all the maps leading to it.
"Babysitting you for three days. Oh, the things I'll do for family. I really hope Terry's dress is pretty for homecoming. And if your cronies destroy it, no one will ever find you again." I will not see my Terry in pain like what you put Karyl through, you bitch.
Pulling out his iPod, he plugged in his headphones and hit play as he blared the volume. In a few hours, one of those girls Elliy had brought with her would come take his place. He'd help them feed and water Brooklyn, then leave them be.
