Dragon shifter(2)

Chapter 9

A she-dragon, a beautiful tint of green and red scales, bumped into me. She quickly said sorry and hurried off. Everyone is in a hurry to get the materials they need before they are all gone. I spent majority of the day in the field grabbing as many carrots, wheat, and potato crops out of the ground to salvage.

I was too bring half of them to the market for the last minute buys. They where gone in 10 minutes, people are desparate. This weather isn't something that happens every year. It only happened years ago in the great ice age. Only whispers of our lizard lineage told us of the ice age and of how many lizards died.

I was heading back to my land when I bumped into the she-dragon. More as she bumped into me. She was a magnificent creature, small but beautiful. I wondered what her talent was, most dragons breath fire but several have water, ice, lava, earth, and air powers. They can be showcased in many different ways. Some very elegantly some very dislikes. One of the dislikes is one of the water specials always driving water.

I personally had earth powers, it makes farming much easier then if I had fire or air powers. It helps plow the field and cover the seeds much faster then any other power. If I had water it make irrigation easier but I don't need much water for the crops. Either way my mom has the water power for the fields so I don't have to do it by hand.

My parents have been pressuring me to get a mate and I think this red and green tinted might just be the one. I just hope she hasn't been taken yet.

"ROOOAAAARRRR!"

The wind started picking up again fires blew out on the street. Everyone grabbed the last of there items and ran home, I did the same. Racing to my home the wind buffed me. As I got into my home a yelp was heard, I dropped off my stuff, I saw that the green red tinted female had gotten trapped in the strong gust of wind. Her wings must have been open when it started causing her to come so far from where she ran off to. Racing out I grabbed her quickly and dragged her down. She was shivering and seemed to have bumped her head enough to knock herself out. That must have been what the yelp was from.

Bringing her with my I brought her into my home. I set her on my bed and pulled a blanket over her. The waiting came would begin of when she wakes up.

Hey guys long time no see. Hehe. Well school happens and I get lazy or I have no inspiration. So You won't get this until well now. I have 500 followers so I though to do a longer chapter on my computer. When doing it on my computer is makes me realize how short my chapters are when i write them on my phone. So here is my gift for getting me up to 500 followers. I wrote this on January 28, 2017 for those wondering I currently have 498 followers at the moment I finished typing this. thanks for those who stick with me. :)
