Butterflies tumble in a belly carelessly as I await the right time to wake Peeta. I'm extremely nervous.

With a shaking hand, I touch Peeta's bicep and whisper his name. His sea blue eyes open and I stare into them for a few seconds.

He yawns, " Yeah?"

" I had- I- a nightmare," I hang my head in shame. This is terrible. I shouldn't be doing this.

Peeta envelopes me in his warmth and I smile longingly at him. " It'll be okay," he says.

Then I lean up too kiss him. I roll over on top of him. He breaks the kiss. " Katniss," he groans.

" Please," I say, my eyes filling up with tears.

He sighs, placing his head back onto the pillow. " Katniss." He repeats firmly.

" Please, Peeta," I can't even describe how much I want this.

He sighs, then nods apprehensively. I smile. " Really?" I exclaim, scared that he's lying.

He groans. " Really."

At first it hurts really bad, but then it feels amazing and I can't stop myself from moaning. It makes it feel so much more special that it's with the man I love. Before I know it - or want it - it's all over and the night blurs into blackness.

I awake with a start and see a peacefully sleeping Peeta, still clutching my hand. I stroke some of his blond curls away from his face and his eyes flash open.

" Sorry I woke you," I smile.

" It's okay. That wasn't a dream was it?"

" Nope."

He smiles widely. " I'm glad."

" Me too," I stroke his fair skin and continue to hold his hand. I roll over and he massages my shoulders. I sigh contently.

Then I hear Prim stirring in her room. " Shit." I mumble. " Get dressed."

He nods and I pull on a short peach dress. He puts on black pants and a baby blue shirt. I'm in the middle of curling my hair when a knock comes from the door. " Come in!" I shout.

She opens the door and walks in. She perches on the bed beside Peeta whilst I finish curling my hair.

" Hey, you're back to school today, right little duck?" I ask.

She nods.

" Shi- I mean sugar - I promised I'd meet Gale today." I say, turning of my curling iron.

" I can take Prim," Peeta says.

" Is that okay, Prim?" I ask.

" Yeah, sure," she answers, smiling, " I'll just be downstairs." She gets up and leaves.

I pull open my makeup bag. I take out my mascara and apply it. Peeta wraps his arms round my waist. " You don't need that. You're beautiful the way you are."

" Thank you," I say, putting on some peach lipgloss, " but every girl needs a bit of makeup."

He whispers, " Not mine," and kisses my jaw. I sigh and tip my head back. He kisses my lips and we stay there for a while before pulling away.

I pull on a pair of black ankle boots and run my hands through my hair. " I should be back around 12:30, okay?"

" Fine," he says and pecks my lips before we head down the stairs.

" Could you make Prim some breakfast?" I ask, opening the door.

" Sure," he says.

I run out into the fresh, cold air and head into the woods. I keep running or until I see our tree, with Gales outline on it. I run faster until I reach him and jump into the tree, wrapping my arms round him.

He smiles, " Hey, Catnip."

" Hello, Gale."

I sit beside him on the tree and take his hand.

" You look different," he states.

" Well, love changes you," I say, hoping that he'll take the hint.

He leans closer to me and that's when I start to panic. Our lips are almost touching, and his breath intoxicates me when he says, " I feel the same way."

Then he kisses me.
