"...Balls."
Muttered Baccus while slowing getting up. The moon stood proudly on the sky, and the bell of the village rang for midnight. It was time for the folk to go inside, thing was, there were no folk any longer in that village. Baccus tried to wake the Squire, but he slept profoundly, the old knight didn't insist much, as he thought it was better this way, he could go all out against the werewolf, worrying not about his apprentice's well being. He carried the boy into a nearby hut and laid him on the master bed.
"I'll be sure to give you an ear full for sleeping during a contract, boy."
Baccus sat on a wooden chair and unsheateded his silver sword, sharpening it while drowned on deep tought.
(I need some wolfsbane oilment for the sword, will burn the werewolf by simply touching it. It's rather common on shores, so I just need to look around. This house should have some oil lying around, no worries there. The monster itself is the problem.)
Baccus finished sharpening and got up, sheathing the sword unto his back, he grabbed his belt with pouches and set off to look for the herbs.
(It grew larger after it healed from my attack, that's troublesome, it isn't a normal werewolf, maybe he wasn't born one, instead was cursed? Cursed werewolves are known to have unique abilities that normal werewolves don't. Maybe this one's is adaptability? I need to cut its head clean off, before he grows even bigger, and eventually becomes invulnerable to silver.)
Baccus walked along the village's shore until he finally came upon wolfsbane. He squashed the herb into a rock and mixed it in with the oil, shaking it and then bathing his silver sword with its green shade of oil.
"There, ready to go, now to follow the wolf's tracks...shouldn't be that hard."
Said Baccus while crouching into some spilled dark blood that was part of a trail, he followed it until he reached the biggest hut in the village.
"Dio, Dio!"
Baccus heard another child yelling and rushed to the inside. He saw the small blonde boy, naked, while the others surrounded him, breathing heavily, while making a beastily sound while doing it, the boy's eyes shifted from yellow to blue constantly. Baccus immediately understood the situation.
"You killed everyone, you monster!"
Yelled a girl while throwing her doll at Dio. The other children began to shout at him, as well.
"Mister Knight, sir, please kill this beast!"
Yelled another child while pushing Baccus. The other children quickly gathered around the knight, forming a circle.
"Please, Please, Please!"
"Calm down! The curse can be lifted, I've seen cases like this many times before. Quite an easy spell to lift."
Baccus walked past the children and kneeled before Dio, the young boy kept breathing heavily and tried to talk, but Baccus couldn't understand him.
"What is it, boy?"
Said Baccus while approaching the boy's mouth.
"R-run."
"Worry not, child, as long as the moon's light doesn't befall you, I can suppress the beast.
