It was mid-winter, the air was crisp and cold. The wind blew through your soft, locks and you took a deep breath in before letting it go and watching the warm air fly from your mouth into the space in front of you. You smiled softly before continuing on your path.

You had just came from the movie's, you had found a few cents on the floor on your way to library and wished to enjoy yourself instead of burying your head under a bunch of books so, you ran off to the Movies.

You fastened your hat on your head pulling it nearly over your eye's as a gust of wind caught you off guard and you shivered. You closed your eye's for a moment as you shivered before opening them once more to see...a snowflake.

Your eye's widened in awe as the little particle of snow inched towards your face. It hadn't snowed in week's no matter how cold it got, even if the weather was below freezing.

The snowflake flowed gently through the wind and soon it was on the tip of your frostbitten nose. But, you smiled and watched as it melted upon contact and you giggled as you watched the other's begin to fall. You laughed and began running.

People watched you and moved out of your way as you ran through the cold streets of your hometown but, you could care less.

So what, you were a teenager and you loved to have fun.

You finally came to the very street you lived on and suddenly came to a stop. Sometimes, you couldn't bare to come home. Your parents no matter how much you loved them were always so...you couldn't even say.

You were about to slowly make your way to the next block, when you saw your father turn the corner. He caught sight of you and you froze instantly. You held your breath and began walking towards him your head down.

He looked at you as if upset and his eye's narrowed his hands going up to his hips. You finally came to a slow stop in front of him without looking him in the eye.

He made an annoyed sound in the back of his throat and you winced unnoticeably. He was upset obviously from his working, probably no client's.

Your father was a crude man and showed not even a hint of pleasure from your acts as a respectable daughter. He always seemed angry no matter what you did, however he did treat you better around the guests he had around the house every night.

Though you hardly even went to your father's functions, you didn't like the people he dared bring to the house he and mother lived in. They were drunkards and most were horrid men that disrespected the poor women they brought with them.

The women however, didn't seem to care judging by their attire. Barely, any thing covered once the coat was displaced.

You hated your father sometimes but, when he did show you he cared you found it hard to fully make the judgement that you didn't care for him. For you did and probably always would.

He finally grabbed you by the back of your elbow and made your way to the house across the street. You were almost the same height as your father at least nearly half his size. But, he was very tall nearly taller then any man in the town. He finally unlocked the door to the house and threw you inside, you let out a cry before stumbling in.

He shut the door roughly and glared at you "What are you doing outside at this hour. You should have been home fifteen minutes ago".

You stuttered in your words you were stumbling up the stairs as he pit on an angry face "I-i um...I lost track of time. I'm sorry papa it won't happen again".

Your father suddenly boasted loudly "Early! That's one of the most important thing's you must learn to be (y/n), early!" You nodded vigorously.

"Yes. Yes. I will try harder, papa I promise" you stated.
