Ivan's P.O.V.I heard 2 thuds, but I thought nothing of it, my men were probably foul-playing. I went down to give the mermaid and Raivis dinner. I knocked on the door, excepting an answer, but nothing happened. After a minute or two I opened the door to find Raivis on the floor, and the mermaid missing. I ran to the window to see if I could spot her. Nothing, just open sea. I walked over to Raivis, anger reaching every part of my body. "RAIVIS WAKE UP!" I screamed. He jolted awake. "Boss," he trembled "s-she got a-away." "AND YOU LET HER!" I screamed. "I will have to punish you, but later, we need to find her." I went to the tub to find something of her's. There was a long strand of her black hair. "This will do." I held onto it and stomped my way up to the deck, with Raivis crying like the baby he is,following after. "TORIS! EDUARD! I need you!" I ordered, my anger still boiling over. They came running just as fast as Raivis did. "Yes boss?" They said in unison. "I need you to collect the items for my tracking spell." They bowed and left. "Now, everyone! Get ready to set sail!" I ordered. "Yes sir!" Toris and Eduard rushed back and were holding a lighter and map. "W-we're back!" They panted. I snatched the objects out of their hands, and walked away. I went into my cabin, and with one subtle flick of my wrist the desk was cleared. I unraveled the map onto my desk. I took the piece of hair and burned it with the lighter. The ashes dropped onto the paper. I then said the chant, "Senta rita meeta maida ringo joana teeto marlin jack latoya janet micheal dumble dora thee explora." I repeat this 2 more times and the ashes start to move towards the southeast, "Kargana Islands." I mutter. I ran up the stairs. "Men set sail to the Kargana Islands!" I yell. I walk towards the steering wheel, but I was interrupted by my sister, Yeketerina running towards me muttering/shouting "Big brother marry me." I ran to my cabin screaming "Leave me alone! I will not marry you!" I locked my door and hid under my desk. I heard scratching and clawing at my door. If she weren't related to me, I would think she was a savage animal. It took a good 30 min for her to give up and leave. I got up and looked at the map. She was a pretty good swimmer for her to be that far away from the boat within a hour. Then the ashes started to turn towards America, where one of my enemy's (and trading partner), Captain Alfred F. Jones, biggest underground trading station is at. You have crossed the line, you sly dog, taking what is mine. I ran up to the deck, checking if Yeketerina was around. "Actually, change course to American!" I ordered. "But Captain, your enemy?... Captain Alfred Jones is there!" "No buts, just listen to your captain. I hope you aren't questioning your captain, da?" "NO SIR!" They saluted me and got back to work.
Athena P.O.V.
Back to when she escapes
Swim, just swim. Quick rest stops, then continue. The humans and the guards from the castle will be after me, now I have 2 things to be worried about. I was swimming so fast, that I had used most of my energy within the first 30 minutes. My body started to slow down, maybe it wasn't the smartest choice to use all of my energy at once. I'm. So. STUPID! Making the same mistake twice! I'm not so tired I could pass out, but tired enough to where I would be really slow. Those stupid human's seemed to have taken me further away from the Kargana Islands. I need to go there to find the sea witch, if anyone knows where my sister is, it would be the sea witch. This time, I learned my lesson about swimming close to the surface, so I was swimming near the ocean floor. The sand had a rippling effect and there were no fish in sight. I slowly made my way across the sea, my energy coming back. As I was swimming across the ocean a shiny object caught my attention. I went over to check out the object; I grabbed the object, (it was shiny and had a long handle with a round end [1]) when a net encased me. What!? Not again, don't panic, don't panic. I inhaled the oxygen in the water and exhaled the excess water. I took out my knife that I found in my journey (I should have done this the first time, but I was freaking out too much to think). It was degraded from being in the water for so long, but it was still pretty useful. I started to cut the rope, but nothing happened. What!? Why won't the rope cut. I tried again but with the same results. I think the ropes have a spell on them, but what? If I can figure out what spell it was then I can reverse it. For 45 minutes I tried different spells. I think this is black magic, and I couldn't do anything about it because I didn't learn black magic, it is forbidden in Atlantica (this is why the sea witch was bannished). As I struggle in the ropes hoping that I can just wear out the ropes, but this just wastes my energy. I finally give up after 5 minutes, after realizing that I was making the same mistake. As I'm just sitting in the net, and another large shawdow comes along. I look up to see a large round wooden thing sailing above me. 'Butt' I think that's what it is, my mother taught me the word, but I can't remember If that was correct or not; all I know is that the humans crossed the sea with it. The 'butt' stops a few meters away from me. The net starts to raise with me in it. I start to thrash hoping that whatever had a hold of the net would let go (hopefully not a human). My plan failed (like usual) and I was raised with ease. I was hauled onto the 'butt' and to my dismay it was humans who dragged me onto this huge 'butt'. "Captain we found what we were looking for!" A human shouted "You better not be lying to me!" A blonde man with a reddish-purple coat and hat with the same kind of fluffy thing my other captor had, with a long piece of blue fabric tied around his waste, and frilly white fabric on top of his chest area. He had a stacked food that consist of meat and vegetables, in his mouth with a drink in the other. If he were just a normal human he wouldn't seem to be a threat, but he was the second human that was able to capture me today. He had blue eyes and blonde hair with a cowlick at the part in his hair, it bounced around as he moved and talked, it made me want to touch it. He spotted me watching him, and with a smirk forming in his mouth his eyes drifted down my body. I didn't like the way his eyes scanned over me like some kind of prize. "Well then, HURRY UP AND COVER HER MOUTH!" He ordered. The men rushed towards me, and they held me down and tied a cloth over my mouth. The blonde man bent down to my level, and set his drink down and motioned his hand towards me. I flinched at the thought of him harming me. I opened my eyes when nothing happened, and looked him straight in the eye. From what I could tell he seemed taken aback by my action. He nudged his hand again, I tilted my head to the side, what did he want me to do with his hand? I took this as an opportunity to touch the cowlick. I reached out and gently touched it, making sure my sharp nails didn't cut his hair. He moved back shocked by what I had done. The other crew members gasped, and started to murmur things like "She touched his hair! Boss is going to be mad now." and "How dare she!" and other things I couldn't understand because of the loud noise. He chuckled half heartedly and said "Okay... Well you m'lady, can call me Captain Alfred." I nodded my head. "Wait, you can understand me?" I nodded again. "Oh, what a fortune you will make me." He purred. My eyes widened, so he was going to sell me! "MATTHEW! Come here!" He shouted. "I'm right here, no need to shout." A blonde male quietly whispered. Everyone's heads turned with shock, how could I not have seen him before, mother always said to be aware of my surroundings, but this man was completely different from Alfred, he seemed shy and like a ghost. Not a threat at all, but that's what I thought about Alfred at first so I should take caution around him. he had blonde hair the same as the captains, but instead of a reddish-purple coat and hat, his was just plain red with the same fluff on his hat. His purple eyes shone with understanding and pity. (picture below)."Oh, since you're already here, take the mermaid down into my cabin and put her in the tub," "Yes sir!" With that Matthew, I think his name was, picked me up bridal-style and rushed me into a tub; he ran out really fast and came back just as quick with buckets of water. He filled the tub and turned to sit on a stool. One thing about this room was that it didn't have a window to escape through, and I don't think Matthew is as gullible as the little boy. I will have to think this plan over and wait till he falls asleep.
