Chapter 29

"Katie?!" I muffled through my hands.

"You know this girl?" Emma asked. Her sword was in her hand.

"Yeah. She's my friend." I knelt down next to her and placed my hand on her forehead. It was burning hot, "She's burning up! Katie? Katie?!" I shook her gently but she didn't wake up.

"Get back Elyse." Mr. Gold pulled me up. I stood next Regina. It's weird thinking that I'm standing next to my mom and she even doesn't know that I'm her child.

"What happened to her? What are you gonna do?" I don't really trust Mr. Gold. Considering what evil he's done in the past.

"She's been put under a deep sleeping spell," His hand swayed above her body, his hands turned into a color I can't explain. "Pan must have made one for some reason. Maybe to use on you Elyse."

"No. He gave it to me," Felix entered. Regina's hand was glowing and everyone was armed. "I'm not here to hurt you."

They lowered their weapons. "Why are you here then?" Mary-Maragret asked. Her bow was lowered but still loaded.

"I'm here to explain why she's in a slumber. She attacked me and pinned me down. I panicked. I couldn't grab my club so I used that potion Pan gave me. And she said she was looking for you." He pointed at me.

I scowled at him. "Gold. Can you get her to wake up?" Tinkerbell held onto her dagger.

"Would you guys shut up?! Yes, but I need silence!" He shouted. I flinched

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Regina grumbled. She turned around and I followed.

We ended up standing in the woods while it was still nighttime. The stars were covered by the clouds. But the moon shone brightly.

"Are you sure you don't want to come?" Regina asked.

I sat down, "No! OK?! I've got way to much on my plate. I have to break a damn curse, save Henry, kiss someone I love, and accept the fact you're my mom!" I instantly regretted what u had said.

Her face went blank. Then she spoke,"You're mother?"

"Damn it! I've got to watch my mouth! Never mind." I avoided eye contact.

She sat down next to me, "Who told you this?"

I was angry, confused... Conflicted. I just wanted to shut myself up in a closet. I don't want to talk to anyone. I want to find that mermaid who nearly drowned me and get answers.

"No one," I was hoping she'd just walk away. But to my surprise, her arms wrapped around me. She was warm and for once I felt safe.

"Okay but I need an explaination when I get back." I nodded.

"Elyse. She's awake." Mr. Gold said to me and limped over to Neal. I got up slowly.

I stepped into the well carved tree. Katie's back was facing me. "Katie?"

She violently twisted her body towards me. "Holy shit! Elyse?! What the hell happened to me? What am I doing here? Who was that guy? How did I get..." I interuppted her. She started swearing and she does that a lot more than I do.

"Long story short. You're in Neverland. Pans shadow took you.That guy was Mr. Gold. You were put under a sleeping spell by a boy named Felix."

She bursted out laughing! "Sure."

"I'm serious." I narrowed my eyebrows.

"You mean?" She stared at me with her eyes wide.

"Yeah. Welcome to Neverland."
