Elyse's P.O.V.
"A curse that separated you and your parents." The mermaid said.
"A curse?" I asked, more confused than ever.
"Yes. Your mother loved you very much," she began but I interrupted,
"Why'd She give me up then?" I asked.
The creature glared at me, I clamped my mouth shut. "Anyway. She loved you very much but your Grandmother did not. She was jealous and was trying to teach her magic but you always kept your mother busy, but you were just a innocent babe. Your Grandmother was so jealous of you coming first instead of her, that she cast a horrid curse and a amnesia spell to make sure your mother forgot you. The curse was laid upon anyone who was related to you or knew you. For some reason we were cursed and sent to Neverland as mermaids. We are trapped here as long as this curse remains." I was in shock. My mother? I had a family? Emotions flooded quickly through everything, my heart ached to see my birth mom.
"Wow. I'm so sorry." I pressed my palm to my face to check I was sweating. I was drastically.
"Darling it's not your fault. It's not your mothers either." She smiled.
"How do I break this curse?" I asked.
"Its like any other curse. A true loves kiss can break any curse." She looked at me in a way that made me feel ungrateful.
"I don't love anyone." I stared at her.
"Oh, but you do. You just don't realize it yet." She dove back into the water leaving me alone again.
True loves kiss? What? I felt very light headed and the room was spinning.
"Elyse! Elyse! Where are you?" A voice said.
I saw the room go dark.
