She ran
She ran like every step she took depended on everything.
She ran even if she couldn't breath
She ran even if the ground she walked on was crumbling apart
She ran even if everything she knew and loved was dying
And that at any moment, she would be next.

She was running because she wasn't ready to let go.
She was running because she was scared.
She was running because if she stopped, she was scared the world would collapse on top of her.

Because if the world collapsed, she would collapse.
All the love inside her would be left to rot.
All the hatred inside her would be left to explore the world.
All the blood inside her would sep out of every wound.

The wounds the world gave her
The wounds the school mates gave her
The wounds the family gave her

She ran to make it stop.
