"I've been all the way around Forks, twice, if red head is here she has got to have major hiding skills," I stated walking into the semi-warm Cullen home. Bella looked up at me, Edward close by her stroking her hand softly. She looked nervous, but forced a smile on her face.
"What about the dogs?" Rosalie called out, walking from the kitchen and into the living room with food for Bella.
"I'll assume their fine until they come running to us for help," I joked. Edward laughed, but Esme and Carlisle gave me warning looks. They always preached that having a good relationship with the dogs would greatly benefit all of us, but something in me didn't agree. I felt they would always have two motives.
Edward's face distorted suddenly and it didn't take long for the potent smell to hit me and figure out why. I rolled my eyes, placed to hands on my chest, and turned to open the door. Jacob stood there, he was shirtless and there were a few more shirtless kids behind him.
"She's not around, we checked but didn't find any scent we didn't recognize."'
