Marching through the snow,
The battalion represents confidence with every stride,
Seeking protection by lying low,
The cries of the fallen are heard worldwide.
The moon smiled eerily down at the men,
The trees swaying in the cold breeze,
Sound shot out into the deaf night as soldiers fired again and again,
The conflict bringing dozens of soldiers to their knees.
Many died in these troubled times,
But we honour the fact that they died to save many more.
Their sacrifice prevented further war crimes,
For they fought with more bravery than ever before.
Through this past happenings we learned a lot,
But what we can never forget is how peace was sought
