Author's Note: My edit! Also, I'm gonna try something a little different. I'm gonna start making shorter chapters. I'm gonna split the episodes into a couple chapters. That way, you guys get more frequent updates. Hope you guys are enjoying so far! :)

Previously...

As Dick Roman is distracted, Dean and I come in and throw cleaner all over him. He groans and all four of us take off running. Sam, Dean, and I make it to the van; Sam and Dean are up front and I have the back door open. Dad hasn't made it out yet.

I start to worry, until I see Dad sprinting to the van. The three of us are yelling for him to hurry as Dick Roman makes his way out of the building, holding out a gun and aiming towards my dad. I hear shots ring out as my dad jumps into the van at the last second, and I quickly slam the door shut. Dad lies face down on the floor of the van, and I assume that it's because he's trying to catch his breath after all of the running he did to get here.

But then I notice his shallow breathing, and then there's the feeling of something warm and sticky. I look down and see something start to stain the back of my dad's hat. I reach out and touch it.

I see dark red crimson.

"Dad!" I scream.

Now...

I shrink back in fear. I look down at my hands and begin shaking, tears flooding from my eyes.

"Olivia!" Dean yells. "Check his pulse! Come on!"

Sam climbs into the back, picking Dad up and putting his head in his lap.

"Is he dead?!" Dean asks, fear evident in his voice.

"Drive, Dean!" Sam yells.

"Is he dead?!" Dean repeats.

"He's breathing, and I've got a pulse!"

Dean shouts into his cell phone, trying to find a nearby trauma center. I struggle for air, unable to see through the tears that fall from my cheeks. Sam looks at me, and I can see his lips moving, but I can't hear what he's saying.

"Olivia!" Dean shouts. "Snap out of it!"

I look over at Sam and take a shaky deep breath.

"Keep him upright. Hold his head," Sam says as calmly as he can.

I push Dad's head up and Sam helps me hold him. Dean drives as fast as he can to a nearby hospital. I throw the van door open and Dean jumps out of the car, helping Sam carry him into the emergency room. I close the door and shut the van off, hurrying in behind Sam and Dean.

The staff quickly put him on a bed and wheel him into an operating room. The three of us follow in behind as the staff are frantically working on him.

"Can you tell us what's going on?" Dean asks.

"Get them out of here," the doctor says to one of his nurses.

"We need you to stay out of their way," the nurse says, pushing us towards the door.

"That's my dad! Please, is he going to be okay?!" I exclaim through teary eyes.
