How could you be both cold and colorful
Changing my world in noticeable ways
By teaching me new and exciting things
And like leaves we fell for each other
Unaware of the world changing around us
The world got colder and you couldn't last
You were gone by snowfall
Traces of you smothered out
By a soft white blanket
