I walk onto the bridge and I hear the captain say, "Mr. Sulu, have Doctors Marcus and McCoy landed on the planetoid yet?"

"Yes sir. They're moving the torpedo into position now." Sulu replies. I stand next to Nyota and the captain asks, "Good. Any activity from the Klingons?"

"Not yet. But if we're stuck here much longer they will find us." Sulu says. "Lieutenant Uhura, did you let Starfleet know we have Harrison in custody?" Jim asks. I look at Nyota. "Yes sir. No response yet." She says standing up. Then I hear a familiar voice.

"Engineering to bridge. Hello. Keptin, can you hear me?"

"Pavel?" I ask. "Hello Cassie." Pavel says. I smile. Jim sits in the captain's chair. "Mr. Chekov, give me some good news." Jim says. "Ve found ze leak sir but ze damage iz substantial. Ve are vorking on it." He says. "Any idea what caused it?"

"No sir. But I accept full responsibility."

"Something tells me it wasn't your fault. Stay on it." Jim says and he ends the call. I wish I could've talked to Pavel for longer but right now there was an important mission. "Shuttle is standing by Captain." Sulu says from his seat. Jim presses a button on the chair. "Bones, thanks for helping out. Dr. Marcus asked for the steadiest hands on the ship." Jim says leaning back in his seat. "You know when I dreamt about being stuck on a deserted planet with a gorgeous woman, there was no torpedo!" Bones says clearly frustrated.

"Dr. McCoy, may I remind you that you are not there to flirt." Jim informs him. "So how can these legendary hands help you Dr. Marcus?" McCoy shouts. "Bones." Jim says. "To understand how powerful these weapons are we need to open the warhead. To do that we need access to the fuel compartment. unfortunately for us, the warheads on these weapons are alive." Carol says. "Sweetheart I once performed an emergency C-Section on a pregnant Gorn. Octuplets. And let me tell you, those little bastards bite. I think I can work some magic on your missile." Bones says. Sulu looks back at Jim who shakes his head in disbelief and rolls his eyes.

"Dr. McCoy, there's a bundle of fiber-optic cables against the inner casing. You're going to need to cut the twenty-third wire down. Whatever you do, do not touch anything else. Do you understand?" Carol asks. "Right, the thought never crossed my mind." Bones says sarcastically. I'm almost positive he rolled his eyes but we could only hear their words and could not see their faces. "Dr. McCoy. Wait for my word. I'm rerouting detonation processor." Carol says. "Are you ready?" She asks. "And raring." Bones says sarcastically. "Good luck." says Carol.

"OW!" I hear Bones say. "The torpedo just armed itself!" Sulu sounds panicked. I gasp. "The warhead is going to detonate in 30 seconds!" says the woman who replaced Pavel as navigator. "What the hell happened?" McCoy exclaims. "I can't get my arm out!" He shouts. "Target their signal. Beam them back right now." Jim orders. "Transporter cannot differentiate between Dr. McCoy and the torpedo. We cannot beam back one without the other." Says Spock who sounds less calm than usual. "Dr. Marcus, can you disarm it?" Jim asks. I know how close he is with Bones.

"I'm trying. I'm trying." She says. "Jim, get her the hell out of here." Bones says.  "No. I f you beam me back he dies. Just let me do it." Carol argues. Bones starts counting back from 10. "Standing by to transport Dr. Marcus on your command sir." Sulu says. "Shit." Carol says. She must've torn away some wires. The timer stops. "Deactivations successful captain." Spock says. I let out a sigh of relief wishing Pavel was there. "Dr. McCoy are you alright?" Jim asks. "Bones?"

"Jim. You're gonna wanna see this."
