I hear Ashton and Owen arguing in their shared bedroom. The twins were growing up so fast. I listen to the odd conversation they're having. "I bet she's gonna wake up soon." Ashton says. "I bet she's not gonna wake up for an hour." Owen says. "Wanna bet?" Ashton asks. "Five bucks." Owen says. I roll my eyes at the two boys. Then I hear Leanne start to cry. "That's my cue." I say. I kiss Pavel on the cheek and walk into the nursery.
"Hey Leanne." I say soothingly. I pick her up out of the crib. Owen walks in and looks at me. "Can I hold her mom?" he asks. "Of course." I tell him. I lower Leanne into his arms. Ashton walks in followed by Pavel. "I'm next." Ashton says. I laugh. Pavel sits on the floor. "How about a bedtime story." he suggests. Ashton sits down.
"Tonight I'm telling you the story of you your mother saved an entire starship full of people." Pavel announces. Ashton and Owen look at me in awe. "Did you really mom?" Owen asks.
"I did. I really did." I say. Then I take Leanne into my arms and listen to Pavel tell the story. I look out the window at the stars. I whisper, "Thank you Ella. Thank you so much."
