Cute fluff after last chapter
After yesterday, we just wanted to relax, but I had other ideas when I woke up. I woke to Yuuri in my arms and snuggled down next to him, eye height. I wanted to be the first thing he saw when he woke up. Which I was, he smiled and I kissed his lips playfully, making him blush. He then hid in my bare chest, his scruffy hair tickling me.
At the moment he's sat at the window again looking out at the city. I think it's his favourite spot in the whole of my apartment. Whenever I leave him to go to the bathroom or the kitchen for example, I come back and he's sat at the window. I don't see what's so fascinating, maybe that's just because of how old I am. I've basically seen it all, so nothing excites me like it used to. One of the times I went to England it was horrible. It must have been around early 1900s with my family. The winter was as cold as the frost lining the shop windows and there were poor boys begging in the streets. I heard it was a conservative government and the rich stayed rich, the poor stayed poor; the poverty trap they called it. Me and my brother stopped at a small boy who looked our age and we gave him some money and our food. Our parents weren't impressed that we gave him our food but gave him some more money. I'm surprised I remember that much. I sit down next to Yuuri on the floor and pass him a glass of water. He thanks me and continues to stare out the window. That small English boy reminds me of Yuuri. "Yuuri, in your culture, do you believe in resurrection?" He shrugs. "It's not a widely thought of tradition but I would say about 15% of us do." I nod and take a sip of my water. "What about you? Do you believe in resurrection?" He shrugs again. "I'm not sure. I never gave it much thought. I just thought the dead stayed dead. You have to cross Sanzu River to the afterlife." I nod and lean my head on his shoulder. He smiles and taps my cheek lightly. "What about you?" I smile to myself. "Yes." I hear him giggle. "And why's that?" I think back to that boy. "I saw a boy in England as a child. He was about my age but was so sickly thin. He couldn't afford any food. I don't think he was strictly a classic English boy as he looked foreign. He probably either wasn't born in England or had Japanese heritage. He reminds me of you. He had such a cute smile, it was actually the same smile you wear now. I saw him and called my brother over to give him some money and our food. He smiled and thanked us. My parents weren't impressed we gave him our food but smiled anyway. They were always kind, and gave him some more money. His face lit up as he realised he would be able to eat. I laughed as such a simple gesture gave him so much hope. It's one of the few things I remember from my childhood. He thanked us again and my mother asked if he wanted to join us for dinner. He went all shy but accepted the proposal. I remember my mother paying for him to be in an orphanage and she gave them money to feed the rest of the children that were there. We had quite a bit of money so it never bothered my father. Do you have a photo of you when you were a child?" He smiled as he listen to me and grabbed his phone from next to him. He looked on social media and found one, showing me my eyes widened. "You look exactly like him!" He lets out a small laugh and leans on me. "Really? It was 100 years ago. There's no way." I giggle to myself and kiss his head. "Told you I believe in resurrection. Good done in the past equals good in the future. I guess I was given a second chance to save you." I feel his breath on my neck as he sighs. "I guess so..." I lift his head with the tips of my fingers. "Do you not think so? ...You still want to die don't you..." I ask already knowing the answer. My face softens as I ask and he nods. "Yeah, sorry..." I rest my forehead against his. "Don't go. I will chase you to the end of the earth if that's what it takes to save you." I see the tears form in his eyes. "But I'm a guy... Isn't Russia homophobic?" I lean forward and give him a chaste kiss. "Yes, but I don't care. I'm way over the age for homosexual sex. Did you know they had two different ages for consent?" I laugh to myself. "It's as if they think being gay makes you more horny than a straight teenager." He laughs with me and leans his head back on mine. "You're eyes are like the ocean." He states. "Is that bad?" He shakes his head and leans forward for another kiss. "I like the ocean. It reminds me of home." I give a small smile. "Are you near sighted?" I ask as I take his glasses off and place them on the floor next to us. "Yeah, I can see you just fine. Just don't walk too far away." I lean my head back on his. "Did you know you have a spec of black in the chocolate if your eyes? It's hard to see when standing at a normal distance." He smiles again, I like his smile. "I wish I could see you smile more." He looks up at me twiddling his thumbs. "Maybe you should show me a few reasons to smile." Before I know it I'm laying on the floor with him hovering above me. Is he really going to? I don't think he's in the right frame of mind to do this. "Yu-Yuuri?" My voice shakes as he straddles my hips. He leans forward and whispers, low toned, in my ear. "Yes?" He purrs. "I don't think this is appropriate. You're not.. in the right frame of mind." He sighs and collapses where he was on my chest. "Okay." I wrap my arms around him and sit up. "We will do it when we're both ready. I swear." He nods and his arms fling around the back of my neck, lulling me in like a serpent. "Be mine." He whispers. I'm pushed back on the floor as he lightly trails his kisses around my face. They follow up from my collar bone back to my mouth. "O-okay. Wait, no. Stop." He smiles and leans on me again. "Sorry. I couldn't help it." He looks so cute looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. It was at that moment an actual puppy licked my face. "Heeey, Makkachin." I laugh and try to push him off. I look down at Yuuri giggling to himself. He's covering his mouth and his eyes are closed. He's so adorable when he giggles. "You're so cute." I catch him off guard and he blushes, hiding in my chest. Makkachin moves to sit at my feet. "Are these the reasons you were looking for?" He shakes his head. "Then lets go." He lifts his head confused. "What? Where?" I turn my head to look out the window. "You seem to like this window. You always sit here. Let's go see what you're looking at up close." He smiles warmly as we sit up and look outside. "But it's snowing and I don't have a coat." I stand up and stretch my hand out to him. "I have loads, don't worry." He takes my hand and stands up. Makkachin follows us to my room as he goes to get changed and I change into something suitable for the cold.

"It's cold." Yuuri states as we walk through the town. I take my scarf off and wrap it around his neck. "It smells like you." I smile and hug his shoulders. We arrive at the destination I wanted to go to. "An ice ring? Outside?" I nod and pull him along. "Come on, let's go get some skates." He runs after me as I pay. "I haven't skated in so long." I laugh to myself as I skate onto the ice freely. He hesitates but follows me. He skates with ease as if he hadn't spent any time off the ice. "See, its not so bad." He smiles and builds up speed for a jump. I hear several people applaud around us as he skated back over to me. "This is fun!" His smile widens and he takes my hand, pulling me along. "Yes. It is..." I can't concentrate on the ice or the cold. All I see is Yuuri. He looks so happy on the ice. I should bring him to the ring I used to practice on with Yakov. "Skate with me Victor!" I voice my love in the only way I know he'd understand. I lean close as we spin in slow circles. He brushes his nose against mine as I hear a few people say something rude in disgust. "It's okay, don't listen to them." The music is playing loud but its droned out by just looking at Yuuri. He looks so adorable you cute but there's another side to him, he hasn't quite released it yet. I remember on the way here I brought a rose when Yuuri wasn't looking. I take it out my pocket and lift it up to meet his gaze. "A single blue rose just for you." He smiles gingerly as he takes it and breathes in its scent. "Thank you." I cup his cheek before skating backwards slightly. "Anything for you." I stretch my hand out to him and he gladly takes it. We chase each other around the ring before my hands slip to his waist and up to his chest. I pick him up in the air as he opens his arms to the cold. I see a peaceful, serene smile form on his sweet lips as he closes his eyes. It's like an eagle soaring through the sky. My thoughts are short lived as I place him back on the ground. He races away from me in a challenge and I chase after him. Avoiding the people his speed increases. He has incredible footwork, stamina, and speed, I have to admit that. He finally stops in the centre as I circle him, like a shark and a fish. I stop behind him and wrap my arms around his chest, I breathe in the smell of my shampoo from his raven hair and relish the feel of his warmth. I feel his hands hold mine as he turns to face me, the rose in his mouth as he hugs me. I very enjoy this hug but a teenager calls out names and barges into us. "We don't need that kind of show here, tsk." I shake my head and ignore them. It was so romantic until that idiot interrupted. I feel the rose against my shoulder and look down to see Yuuri wide eyes, irises bold, standing out in comparison to the white surrounding us. "I love you..." he says shakily. I smile brightly and kiss his forehead. "I love you too. You're too adorable for this world, I don't deserve you." He leans up and his tiptoes and pecks my lips. "Let's go, I'm hungry." I nod and slide my arm around his shoulders as he smells the rose again.
