JC's POV

She stared out the window and took in the scenery. Honestly, this was the first time i had brought anyone here. i usually came up here by myself when i wanted to be alone. It was almost most 7 and the sun was just about to start setting. This may sound lame but it was the perfect place to end the date. i was hoping she would let me kiss her this time since i've learned more about her this past week.

She got off the car and walked over to the tree and looked out to see the sunset. i took out her guitar from the backseat and leaned it against the car. i walked over and stood next to her.

"You know, you're the first person i've ever brought here. None of my friends know that i come up here. i like to have this as my own place." i said breaking the silence.

She looked over at me and was a little nervous, "Then why bring me here?"

"Because i wanted to bring you here." i answered smiling.

"So will you play for me?" i added.

She looked over at me then at her guitar and she thought about it. "OK." she walked over to the car and pulled out her guitar. i smiled and she sat on the trunk of my car.

"I'm warning you, i am rusty." She said tuning her guitar.

"What do you want me to play?" she added. i smiled.

"Whatever you want, just as long as a get to listen to you." i shrugged.

She smiled and started strumming, "You think i'm pretty without any make-up on, you think i'm funny when i tell the punch line wrong..." She started to sing and i was infatuated. She had one of the most beautiful voice and i couldnt help but watch her every move. She looked up at me and smiled, "...we can dance until we die, you i will be young forever..." i'm not going to lie, this song was a lot better when she sang it.

She finished the song and i couldnt help but smile and be amazed. "Wow." i said clapping. "I'm speechless, that did not sound like you were rusty. You are amazing." She blushed, and smiled.

"Thank you. i hope your friends thin the same thing and the rest of the you tube world." She answered looking down.

"Don't worry. They'll be blown away. How long have you played?" i asked as she ran her hand over the guitar.

"Thank you. Well my mom passed away when i was 14 and i had stopped playing because i wouldn't be able to play without tearing up." she answered truthfully.

"Well, I'm glad that you had the courage to pick it up again. it really is amazing." i answered trying to comfort her.

"Thanks. I really have you to thank for it. if you hadnt brought it up and the boys wouldnt have convinced me, i wouldnt have done it." she said smiling.

"So uh, if you dont want to talk about this you dont have to but i have a question. How did you get your scars on your back?" i asked timidly.

"It's sort of a disturbing story. Are you sure you want to hear it?" she said a little uneasy.

"yes." i said nodding.

"Well, when i was 11 my mom worked night shifts so i would basically stay at home with my dad. i always got along with my dad until one day he got home drunk which was weird because he never drank. Anyway, he came home and yelled at started yelling at my mom and i didnt think anything of it because i knew parents fought and this was their first fight that i had witnessed. i sat up and my bed and listened to make sure nothing bad happened. i heard our back door open and i heard glass shattering. i called the police before i went outside. i saw that my mom was on the floor. i ran to her and saw that my dad had hit her and attempted to throw a vase at her head. i helped her up and my dad walked toward us, she pushed me behind her but i stepped in front of her and punched my dad. i warned him and i told him to hit me instead. He slapped my face and i fell to the floor and i dislocated my shoulder. he hit my mom one more time and she fell to the floor and was unconscious. He was going to kick her when i grabbed my softball bat and hit him. He hit me again and i ended up falling on the glass..." her voice was getting shaky and i didnt want her to cry but she took in a deep breathe. "i had fallen on my back and the big pieces of glass had stabbed my back. i tried to stand up but my dad pushed me back down. He grabbed my hair and started to drag my across the cement which made the glass cut me deeper. i tried to yell for help but my voice was barely a whisper. i tried to fight him off but my i couldnt do much with one arm. i finally yelled loud enough and the cops had already gotten to the house. They tackled my dad down and i made my way over to my mom. The paramedics were all coming towards me but i wanted them to make sure my mom was ok before they came to me. The put her on a stretcher and i didnt leave her side. I couldnt feel any pain until my was rusehd into the emergency room and they took me to get checked out. My back was completely burned and the glass had made really deep cuts in my back. That's why there are so many in different directions. On some of them i had to get stitches. i didnt go to school for a month." She said everything so calmly like she was at peace with what had happened.

i couldnt believe she had to experience that at such a young age, she deserved better than that.

"I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. Was your mom ok?" i asked scooting closer to her.

"I am too. Since that day i never spoke to my dad again and my mom had to raise me by herself. Yeah she was fine she just had a concussion and some bruising. I was glad that there wasnt any terminal damage." She answered thankful.

"So how did she pass away if you dont mind me asking?" i asked.

"She was walking home from her night shift and some guy was texting and ran her over. She was hit and the impact broke one of her ribs and lunged it into her heart. She died instantly without pain. i witnessed the whole thing." She said the last part so coldly and i could see her starting to tear up.

i brought my arm over her shoulder and brought her close to me. i didnt care if she cried on me. She probably didnt have anyone to do this with until her ex. She hugged me back and we sat like that for a while.

"Thank you for a great day Justin. i really had an amazing day and it felt good to play my guitar for someone again. I've missed it so much. Thank you." She said smiling. She didnt look like she had cried.

"No problem Jay. i really like hanging out with you." i said resting my head on hers.

She pulled away from me and laid back on the car. She grabbed her guitar and i laid back.

"I'm glad i didnt forget how to play." She said turning her head towards me. i looked over towards her and smiled.

She started strumming to a song but not to loud it was low and almost like background music. e sat there in silence and she would change up the songs she would strum. I felt like it was perfect. She looked at the time and saw that it was getting late.

We started to head home, "So how about you stay over at our house since you have to film with all of us and stuff? We made the theme to be a musical one." i stuttered.

"Sounds good. Can we stop by my house first so i can get my clothes laptop and camera." She asked.

"Yeah." i answered.

We pulled up to her house. "i'll be back." She hurried inside and about 10 minutes later she came back out with a duffle bag, her laptop and her camera. She looked so small compared to her bag. She put everything in the backseat and we went to the house.
