Stormstar POV:
I had taken Aurelia and run. She and I had run from Texas with the one other living person I loved to get away from the demons that were there. From the ghosts. Now I had to leave him too, and flee from San Fran Cisco and go to somewhere far away.
I should take a second to say who I am, I'm Stormstar Jhonsten. Aunt to the sweetest girl in the world, girlfriend to the sweetest guy in the world, and daughter to the nicest couple in the world. I also am a Vet, of Afghanistan and the street wars that a rampid in the place I grew up. It was in the street wars I lost the complete function of my left arm, and the scar on my cheek.
Anyways, I was running to New York. It was the safest city in the world, it had the Avengers! Aurelia and I would be safe, she and I had a handle on our powers. At least she did. I was hiding it, but it was painful to stop my powers. Electricity was not a micky mosy power, it was dangerous. Deadly.
To bring my mind off the pain stopping my powers caused me, I looked at the 10 year old girl sleeping next to me, her head nestled into my arm, dark hair falling in waves down her shoulders. Her old army dress cap (A gift from her great-grandfather) was slipping on her head, and a yellow blanket with tares and well worn edges nestled in her arms next to a stuffed wolf. I smiled, brushing a lock of dove grey hair out of her face. Aurelia was so cute when she was asleep, she snored. A memory of her father surfaced and I snorted, remembering the fun-loving man who had annoyed the bejesuss out of me. I never saw what my sister, Aurelia's mother, had seen in him.
Yawning, I had a feeling I would drift off soon as well. Leaning my head on the window, I fell fast asleep. My long black hair fell around my face as my breath misted the window. I had no idea the terror I was in for in my dreams.
Jolting awake a few hours later, I looked out the window. The forests had turned to towns, and in the distance I saw a large city. Detroit? Boston? Dallas? Then I remembered, and I smiled.
"New York City, greatest city in the world next to Dallas." I said, my reflection smiling back at me in the window. Noticing the state of my black hair, I tried to set it in order. It was a hopeless pursuit, but it helped my mind wander away from my dreams. I looked down at Aurelia, and shook her awake. "Aurelia honey, time to wake up."
Aurelia jumped, her light blue eyes covered in dove grey hair. I smiled, and she clutched her stuffed wolf. "I don't want to go to New York, I liked San Francisco."
I hugged her. "It will be okay, it will be safer for us. Besides, maybe you can meet Captain America!" I smiled at her, and saw hope in her light blue eyes.
"Maybe it won't be soo bad." And she smiled, as the train pulled in.
Kodiac POV:
The two teenagers next door were having another party.
I should know about noise, and I should know about parties. I'm 23 and when I was in my teens, I partied like there was no tomorrow.
Just these days, I like my privacy and quiet.
Maybe because of my face. I would get made fun of, avoided, you name it.
Okay, so back to the two teenagers with the party. I knew them somewhat, I knew the older at least. His name was Cal, he lived with his younger brother and dad. He had brown hair and blue eyes, and frankly he was enormous, but still shorter then me.
The younger one was named Justice, he had dark hair and the same blue eyes. He always seemed to be going, he never seemed to take a pit stop. Sometimes I would see them coming home from school with their dad. Their dad was also tall, but still a bit shorter then his oldest son, with dark hair and blue eyes.
I didn't really care much about them, unless they made too much noise. Right then he cared.
I covered my head with a pillow, groaning. I was really considering going over and yelling at them to turn it down. Dragging himself out of his warm bed, he made his way through his apartment and into the hall, were he knocked on the door of the small family.
Cal answered it, and I glared down at him. "Could you please turn that music down? Some people need to sleep. Were is your dad? Dose he know about this?"
Cal gulped, he was 17 and he was faced with a very tall and strong person who didn't look happy. Not to mention I have a very obvious ailment, with one milky eye. The other eye, the right one, is brown with sprinkles of color. I also seemed a little annoyed.
"I'l.. I'll tell Justice to turn the volume down." Cal turned around on his heel and made a beeline for his younger brother.
"Thank you." I then left and went back to my own apartment to find it much quieter. I smiled, and crawled back into bed, falling asleep.
A bit about me, I'm a former Captain in the Air Force. I flew a plane, I got shot down, plane crashed. Bye bye career.
I had two little brothers and one little sister. I just need to find them.
