My dad pulled me into a hug, I was about to go to my third year of Hogwarts. I let go of the hug saying goodbye to my Dad. The twins gave him a gigantic hug, this was their first year going to Hogwarts. Lizelle had already given Dad a hug and she was waiting for us. Our mother was standing next to dad giving an impatient smile we could see through, but sadly, Dad did not. We didn't bother to give her hugs, only people who love each other give hugs. We bade our last goodbyes and went onto the train.

Lizelle said she was going to sit with her friends. "Ricky, you can't sit next to the twins, same goes for you," she said, pointing at the identical twins, her bright, vibrant red hair swaying slightly. The twin's mouths dropped open.

Winifred replied, "What!" "

Why!" Georgia finished for her. The two black haired girls both gave the same angry and shocked expression.

"Because all of you need to find friends, especially you Ricky. You're a third year and you still have no friends! I get why the setback with... Dawson shook you, but you seriously need friends!" I just shrugged with a 'meh' expression. She gave me a stern look, her light green eyes drilling into my brilliant blue ones.

I walked into the cabins in the back, I picked the one that had no one sitting in it. I put my trunk on top of the shelf above the seat I was sitting in. My bleached hair falling in front of my right eye. I quickly pushed the locks of hair back behind my ears. I sat down, bored as hell. "Can I sit here? Everywhere else is full." A nervous boy said. That startled me out of my gaze of eternal boredness. "I-I am-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you... " he said, nervously.

"No, no. It's fine. You can sit here." I responded. He looked a bit bashful, rubbing the back of his neck looking down. His red-brown hair was a bit messy, yet perfectly fell over his next right eye.

He sat down, still a bit embarrassed for startling me. "I'm Ricky Whitten," I said.

"Newt Scamander, you can call Newt."

"It's okay Newt, you don't have to be nervous around me. Normally I'm the one that's nervous." I chuckled at the end. He gave a shy grin, rubbing the back of his neck again, must be a habit of some sort. I tried to put any stray hairs behind my right ear, my nervous habit. I just remembered I have all my fun things in my trunk!

I quickly jumped up to grab my trunk, with that the train started moving, great. Because of that, I fell on the floor. I muttered a small, "Dammit," and got up.

"Merlin's beard! Are you alright?" Newt exclaimed. "I'm good, I'm good. Don't worry, worse has happened in my life." I said. He didn't know how to respond to that so it left a weird expression on his face. That made me laugh a little. He then realized that his expression was the cause of my slight laughter. He then blushed and turned his head, rubbing the back of his neck again. I grabbed my trunk and ruffled through it. "Damn Lizelle's OCD!" I whispered to myself. I bet he was giving me a strange and confused face, but I didn't really care. "Finally!" I grabbed my art book and pencils. I mainly draw creatures and sometimes people. I don't really think they look that good, but I keep them, it lets me know what I have drawn from what angle so I don't accidentally draw it again.

"What's that?" Newt asked curiously, looking at what I had in my hand. "My art book," I answered with a smile. "What do you draw? If you don't mind me asking." I chuckled at his nervousness. "Creatures mainly, but sometimes I draw people. I don't really think they're good..." I muttered that last bit.

"Nonsense, let me see." I opened to the first page, it was an occamy. "That's amazing... " He muttered looking in awe. I made sure my hair was in its place.

"Thanks."

"This is an occamy, right?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm surprised someone recognized it!" I exclaimed.
