Waiting

Waiting

There is a purpose
In the waiting
Though it may be long
And seem unending

It is a time to ponder upon
The promises of God
And prepare for
What is to come

It is a time for
Purification
And constant
Unceasing prayer

For I need to wait
Upon the Lord
Who renews
My strength

I direct my focus
To my Lord God Almighty
Who acts on behalf of
Those who wait upon Him

For it is for His purpose
That I serve and
It is for Him
That I live

For there is no one
Like my God
Who loves
So graciously

I die and live
For my Lord Jesus alone
I shall follow no other
For I belong solely to Him
