What the hell does Victor have to do with anything?! Lydia thanked him and Gabi is scared of him. Once school was over and the dismissal bell rang, I ran out the building. I left everything at school… my books, my backpack and my sweater. I wasn’t going to go home I had my phone, the charger, my permit and all my money and credit cards.
I ran as far as I could, I didn’t stop nor did I look back. I reached my boyfriends house and stayed there. He hugged me tight and kept asking me what was wrong so I finally told him, “Gabriel… I don’t think I’m safe at home.”
“What do you mean by not safe?” Gabe held me tighter waiting for me to answer but I started to cry so he just let me lay there with him and gave me a kiss on the forehead.
After an hour of just laying there I got up and sat on Gabe. I gave him a kiss and just stared at him. He was smiling and his hands were traveling. I pushed him away and said, “I think Victor has something to do with Lydia’s suicide.”
“And why would you assume that?” Gabe asks as he pushes me off of him and pins me on the bed.
I give him a kiss and say, “She left a note and said he had won a battle and to stop trying. Plus today I talked to Gabi and she said she was being watched and slipped this note into my pocket.” I handed him the paper.
Gabe just stared at the paper and then he just looked at me. There was a long pause between us, we heard screams come from down stairs and then two gunshots. We got up quickly, Gabe handed me a pocket knife and hides me under his bed.
I lay there scared and shaking. I hear the door open, footsteps get closer and closer to the closet where Gabe was hiding. As the closet door was being opened Gabe screamed, “RUN!” and then there was a gunshot. I ignore him and stay there but in the corner I see Gabe just laying there motionless.
After five minutes of silence I start trying to get out and I then I hear a footstep. It got closer and to where I was. A face pops up and I stab him in the eye. He dropped his gun, I reach for it and shoot 5 times. I called the police and stayed under the bed till they came.
