Evans POV

I have never seen anybody so beautiful. When I saw her I think I was the one that got butterflies in my stomach. “Um… hi” I said when she opened the door, I was so nervous that was all I could get out. “You ready?” I heard her ask, and the only thing I could do is nod. In the middle of everything I heard that girl EJ was it? I heard her yell, “ don’t be back to late” “your not my mother” I heard Kelli yell back, I couldn’t help but laugh. She is just so sweet.

“So what’s the plan for the evening?” Kelli asked “well, I thought we could go to the movies, then go to dinner, then I can get you back home” I said, she sounded nervous, but why? She is absolutely beautiful! You would think that every guy would talk to her, but no. She only talks to that bad girl, EJ and her color “guardies”. “Is everything ok, you just passed the movie theatres?” I snapped out of my daze, “yeah I’m fine, just a little nervous that’s all” “well I don’t see why, I mean just look at you!” “So I invited a few friends to come along, is that ok?” “Umm… yeah… I mean I guess.,” she sounded disappointed, and I could tell.

Kelli's POV

I sat there thinking what would EJ do? She would leave I soon figured out, so I pulled out my iPhone went to my favorites pressed “sis” and said: “Hey, Evan invited his friends, want to come along?” a few minutes later I received a text and it said “Sure, on my way, where are you? I will meet you there”.  I replied “Our favorite restaurant.”  Our favorite restaurant was a small little local restaurant called MR. Dotz. He was EJ’s neighbor and we got a family, friend’s discount, so all our food was practically free.

·      15 minutes later*

“Hey I have to use the restroom” I heard Evan say to one of his friends. I feel like I am invisible right now. I always feel that way, but right now I feel like I’ve been pushed into a corner. I can’t stand it, why can’t I be as pretty and liked, like the ‘populars’? Who knows?

“ Hey Robinson” EJ said from behind me.  Robinson is my nickname given to me by EJ, since day 1, and only she can call me that.

      “Hey” I said sadly.

“What up with you?”

“Nothing, I have basically been shoved into a corner and haven’t talked to him since we’ve been here”

“ Well, you still have me and those color guard people. What is it that you call them, ‘guardies’?” she said as she wrapped her arm around my neck giving me a side hug, trying to cheer me up. I couldn’t help but smile at her crazy tactics.

“ Have I ever told you I love you and I can always count on you to put a smile on my face?”

“It goes without saying” she replied

“Well let’s go home I’m exhausted.” I demanded

“Me too. I’m down for a little sleep.”
