Once I grabbed my bag from my room and took one last look in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel guilty about what I was going to do. I have never lied to Danny in my life and I knew if he found out what I was really doing, he would never forgive me. I was thinking about forgetting about the whole party and everything, but once my mind had that idea, my feet were all ready leading me out of my room.
When I got to the stairs, Harry was waiting by the door. When I was in my room, I heard Danny go into his room, so he wasn't out here with us.
"You ready to go study?" Harry said and put his hands in his pockets.
"I guess. But I'm not so sure that I want to go anymore. What if Danny finds out?" I said as I got to the bottom of the stairs and stopped in front of him.
"Well, I gave you your paper back. And just chill out, Danny won't find out, we'll be back before eleven. I promise." Harry said and took a dangerous step forward.
"Fine." I sighed and took a step back.
Harry gave me a smirked as he knew I got nervous being too close to him. Then he walked over to the front door and held it open for me. I took one last look at Danny's bedroom door upstairs and walked to Harry's truck.
..........
The whole drive to the party was quiet. All that we could hear was the music from the radio that was on.
"So much how longer until we get to this girl's house that you don't even know the name of?" I said, breaking the silence.
"Well she lives in one of those fancy neighborhoods where all the stuck up people are. So it's a pretty long drive considering where we live." Harry said and looked at me for a second then back at the road.
"I find it funny that she thinks that you're so interested in her, but yet you talk about her this way." I said and smiled at him.
"You thinks she's interested in me? He said, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Well she makes it pretty obvious. She wraps her hair around her finger and always looks at your lips when you talk." I said and not thinking about what I was saying until it came out. "Not that I look at you guys, but it's just the basic things like that. And you can't deny that she doesn't do those things." I said and smiled at him, trying to not show that I was embarrassed of what I previously said.
"You're true on that. But it's not that I'm into her, she seems like too big of a bitch to handle." He said and smiled showing off his dimples. I hated that.
I didn't respond to that but a couple minutes later we came up to her neighborhood. The houses were big and I'm pretty sure that every one of them had about a mile wide backyard. It was a good place to be having a big party.
"Well that seems like the one." Harry said and pointed at the house with a lot of people who were hanging out on the lawn. It seemed that everybody was already drunk because they were stumbling all over the place.
Harry finally found a parking spot that was a little bit far from the house, so we had to walk.
"It's already starting to smell like alcohol." I said and covered me nose.
"Well what were expecting? A 7th grade get-together?" Harry laughed and grabbed my hand to uncover my nose. I immediately took my hand away from his and he smiled.
"No, I wasn't expecting that but I didn't know I was going to be smelling drugs and alcohol from a block away." I said and looked up at him.
"Seems like you never get out much." He said and smiled down at me.
I pushed him a little and laughed. When he regained his balance, he put his arm around me playfully and pulled me toward him. He started to tickle me and laughed as I couldn't get out gasp.
"Harry, you came!" The blond girl screamed and tried to run toward us in her 9 inch heels. She was wearing a tight black dress that was high above her knees.
When she saw me, she started to slow down and her smile faded away. But then she smiled again and looked at me. "And you brought your little friend too, great!" She said, but I knew it was far from great to her.
When Harry saw her and looked at her, I thought he was going to take his arm off of me, but he didn't. He didn't even bother to smile at her either.
"Hey." Harry said rudely as we got closer to her. I didn't say anything but just stared at the ground. It was more interesting then this.
"I didn't think you would come, or even bring a friend." She said and scanned me like what I was wearing didn't seem to compare to what she was wearing. But unlike her I some respect for myself.
"Well I did. Can we go to the party now?" Harry said and nodded to the house.
"Of course!" She said and took Harry by the arm and dragged him off to the house leaving me alone. She turned around and looked at me with a smile on her face. But I know that her smiles were never a nice one.
I started to walk behind them and I was handed a drink by a random guy who was waddling all over the place with drinks in his hands. I looked down at my drink and there was something fizzing inside of it. Well this is just like the other high school parties where they try to drug you, I wasn't surprised.
This was going to be a long night.
