Lapidot: My Tutor (Human Highschool AU)

Lunch

Peridot P.O.V

I looked around the crowded lunchroom.
"Why is it so full of people?' I thought. I turned around and saw Lapis behind me.

"Are u following me? It's lunch and I told you that u can sit where ever u want" I said.

"Y-yeah I know I can sit where I want" Lapis said putting her hands in her pockets.
  "So why are you still following me?" I sighed.

Lapis looked down and mumbled. I looked at her unimpressed.  "Speak up" I said.
  "I'm new and I can't be social! I've been forced to hang out with you all day, and your the person I'd feel safest with" Lapis said a bit angrily.
  "Alright I'll let you sit with me.. just because my friends aren't here" I told her.
  That was a lie... I don't have any friends, well i do but they already sit at a full table... but I can't make it seem like I'm a looser and a nerd!

Lapis P.O.V

I followed Peridot to a table after we had gotten our "food" and by "food" I meant plastic. The food looked and smelled absolutely horrible! Peridot had brought her own lunch and basically the rest of the lunchroom had too.

"Note for tomorrow... bring lunch" I thought to myself as I sat in front of Peridot.

It was a bit awkward sitting with a girl I didn't know. Peridot didn't seem to wanna sit with me, and frankly I didn't wanna sit with her... but she's all I had. Wait... I DIDNT MEAN IT LIKE THAT.

"Are u ok?" Peridot said breaking my train of thought. "Y-ye-yes I'm ok" I said. Peridot shrugged and continued eating.

Peridot P.O.V

Lapis had flinched and I was confused as to why. Hmmmmmm... I wonder what goes on in that lovely brain of hers.
  I notice Lapis staring down at her food. Poor girl. Didn't know our school gives garbage out as "food"

"Would u.... like some of my food?" I say as I hand a small bowl of grapes to Lapis.
  "...why.. thank you" Lapis said as she smiles and takes the bowl of grapes. She looked down and began eating them hungrily

"Your welcome" I say, then I realize I am staring right at her smile. I mean this as a friendly compliment, but she has an adorable gorgeous smile. Her smile isn't over exposed, and it isn't forced either. It's a small dainty smile that I bet many people have fallen in love with.

"God damn I sound gay... NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING BAD WITH IT" I think to myself.

Lapis P.O.V

I ate the grapes quickly. Boy oh boy was I hungry.

As I ate I heard the group sitting behind us talking.

"Ugh she's eating so damn quickly. She gon' get fatter, u gon' see." I hear someone say. I quickly turn around and see that a group of girls are sneakily looking at me and whispering as they eat their lame salads.

I flip them off and turn back around. Peridot doesn't seen to notice what had just happened.

I look down at my stomach, I've never thought I was fat. But after that comment I realize I have a small chubby belly. These girls are skinny as sticks.
  "Don't let this get to you" I think to myself.

"Lunch is over now" Peridot says. I glance back up and see everyone in the lunchroom packing up.

Time for more hell woot woot.
