APRIL 26TH, 1964

Evangeline sat on her bed after another boring day of school. She never liked going to school because of how people liked to make fun of her because of the little things. Like how she would get sick easily, how she was friends with a queer, how her brother was Ringo Starr. The list would go on and on but of course Evangeline wasn't like this because of her brother.

She could never blame her brother for anything because he was practically her best friend. Evangeline was the teddy girl rebellious teen because nobody understood her. It wasn't a faze every teen goes through because with Evangeline she had her reasons. But she didn't do drugs and the only bad thing she has done is smoked cigarettes.

Now Evangeline lays on her bed thinking about the man that called a couple days ago. She still is trying to solve the mystery of how he got her number or even how he knew her the nickname her brother calls her. He sounds oddly familiar to her but she can't put her finger on it. Right at that moment the phone rang again.

This made Evangeline become startled and jumped a little. She switched her attention towards the rotary phone by her bedside. Evangeline didn't pick it up, just sat still waiting for her mother or step father to pick it up.

"Evangeline it's for you!" called Evangeline's mother making the young girl sigh and she knew exactly who it was.

"I got it mum!" called Evangeline as she then got the phone from her bedside and put it up to her ear.

E: Ello?

J: Ello Angie! How are you love?

E: Look lets just cut to the chase. Why are you still calling me?

J: You seem a bit lonely Angie and I thought you could use a friend.

E: Well I have plenty of friends.

J: (laughs) you mean your queer friend?

E: Don't make fun of Davy, you don't even known him!

J: I'm only joking love. Now how was school.

E: Gosh you sound like my mother. It was OK.

J: OK? Please elaborate with me love.

E: (sighs) It was like any other day, boring

J: I know what you mean.  School wasn't my favorite either

E: Wait a second, so your old?

J: What?

E: You just said when you were in school. Does that means your what? Thirty?

J: I'll have you know I am in my twenties and I still look fab!

E: Your a swine!

J: I'll have you know I am a fabulous swine (says in a girly voice)

E: (laughs)

J: Is that a laugh I'm hearing?

E: What? No! I just stubbed my toe.

J: Your lying love and you can't deny it

E: Alright fine I did laugh

J: See I told you I could make you smile!

E: What ever! Cheap luck wanker!

J: (gasps dramatically)  What a dirty mouth you have Ms. Starkey! Might I suggest treatment?

For the rest of the night Evangeline smiled and laughed through the phone. Every time Evangeline would laugh, John would smile at the angelic sound. Mrs. Starkey listened to her daughter laugh and giggle and was very surprised. Nobody has ever made Evangeline laugh or even smile before. Mrs. Starkey just sat at the table, sipping her tea with her husband, and smiled warmly at the sound of laughter from her daughter that she hasn't heard in years.

John loved talking to Evangeline and he could talk to her forever. But he had to worry about getting caught by Ringo and Cynthia. He would make a excuse saying he had to talk to his aunt Mimi. Of course that was true but after he would talk to his aunt he would call Evangeline. The lad couldn't help it for he was falling for his mates sister but there was one thing holding him back. Cynthia.
