Chapter 9 - School anniversary: The dance

Days pass and it was finally the school anniversary which means.... I have to dance with Jr.

" Dancers, get ready in the back stage now " The dance teacher called out.

We all gather in the backstage and put on our costumes and make up.

" I'm really nervous " I told Yeri.

" You'll do great, Jr and you are amazing dancers " She said.

I smiled. At that moment JR came in,

" I'll leave you two to talk for awhile " Yeri walked out leaving me with a jerk.

" What is it? this is the lady's make up room " I reminded him.

" I know, I just want to talk to you " I closed the door and sat down next to me.

" What do you want to say? " I asked him.

" I'm really nervous dancing with you, what if you mess up and embarass me " He sighed.

" You think too much " I told him.

" You better do good or I'm never talking to you " He warned me.

" I think it's better that way " I replied.

" Can you do me a favor? I'm really nervous " He questioned.

" What is it? " I asked back.

He stood up and hugged me tightly

" Let's do well " He whispered.

We both went on the stage with the others after the greetings from the principle.

I held his hand and he held mine, we became a bit more comfortable after that night but we still hate in each other in a way that I can't explain.

" Don't be so stiff " He whispered.

" Sorry, I'm nervous " I whispered back.

" I can tell " He giggled.

He pulled me closer,

" Let's look natural and you can nag later " He teased.

" Jinjja! " I slightly kicked his foot hoping no one saw.

" This is the dance class students performing a slow couple dance, please enjoy " The MC announced.

The music started to play and we slowly moved.

I walked out of the backstage to get some fresh air, I've been getting a headache since morning and my forehead was burning but it was probably just a fever so I didn't make it a big deal.

" Your face is pale " Jr walked up to me.

" I'm fine " I told him.

" Did you eat this morning? " He asked.

" I forgot to, I was late for the meeting too " I replied.

" Since we have a 30 minutes break, let's go eat " He insisted.

" Why would you want to eat with me? " I questioned.

" Stop talking, let's go " He pulled me to a tteopokki stand.

We looked at the menu,

" 2 tteopokki and 2 oden please " Jr ordered.

The food came and we started eating,

" I think you have a fever " He placed his hand on my forehead.

" It'll go away " I said.

We finished eating and was heading back to the auditorium when everything went dark.

I woke up in a empty room,

" Where am I? " I looked around.

The door suddenly open,

" You're awake " Jr came in.

" Yeah, where are we? " I questioned.

" The music room, no one usually comes here because it's hidden but I found out about it last year " He answered.

" It's really nice and cozy " I said.

" This should be our secret spot " He said back.

I nodded,

" I was gonna bring my first girlfriend here but you came first " He said while sat down.

" I'm sorry " I patted his back.

" Are you still sick? your hand is warm " He noticed.

" I'm feeling better though, thanks " I thanked him.

" You owe me something " He lay down.

" Tell me what you want " I asked.

He pulled me down next to him,

" I don't what anything now, I'll tell you later " He replied.

" Okay " I said.

" Go back to sleep, you're still sick " He turned off the lights.

" Jr oppa, I'm thankful that you're taking care of me, I won't see you as a bad person anymore " I told him.

" Stop talking and sleep, I'm tired " He closed his eyes.

- Jr's pov -

When I knew she was asleep, I took a peek

" You're don't know how I feel, do you? " I asked.

Then I lay down again and rested my eyes too.

I woke up and saw the time it was 4pm, the school anniversary party was already over.

" You slept really well " Seulgi said.

" Oh, yeah " I said back.

" You should get enough sleep at night " She told me.

" You too, wake me up if you need company " I said as I sat up.

" Since when were you that nice to me, something must be wrong with you " She teased.
