A quiet town. That's where Mia lives. A nice and quiet town. No one ever does anything wrong. She knows that this is a fact. Nothing special ever happens. She loves it.
The pharmacy is never busy, nor is it empty. It's nicely in the middle, just the right amount of people at the right times. Not today.
Today, it was empty. Totally empty. No people in the streets and no one in the shop. Mia is concerned with this. Nothing new ever happens and everything is supposed to happen on schedule. She knew for a fact that there were at least five orders to be delivered today. No one came to pick them up.
Mia hears a ding from the front. She perks up and waits for the person to walk to the counter from the waiting room. No one had even come to work.
The person had apparently decided to take their sweet time and look through every nook and cranny in the waiting room. Mia started to get confused and even a little worried. Usually by now the person would've noticed that no one else was waiting and walk in to get their prescription.
Mia hears the door click, notifying her that the person about to open the door. She perks up once more with a bright smile, about to say her signature greeting.
The door opens and she is greeted by, not a face, but a tall hooded figure. Mia could tell that the person with female from her body shape and Mia could tell that she wasn't from this town. The woman had mysterious clothes, a leather jacket with jeans. That was violating  dress code of the town. Everyone was supposed to wear a white shirt or dress to let everyone else know that they are there. Wearing dark clothing made a person seem unnoticeable and the city council found that it proved as possibly dangerous.
Because of this sudden reminder, Mia immediately felt uneasy around the strange woman. She tried to keep smiling as the lady stared at her from her place in the doorway. She seems to be surprised that there was someone actually at work. Mia started getting actually scared after the woman stepped in all the way and walked up to the counter. She left a trail of dirt from her heeled boots.
"Can I help you?" Mia said nervously, trying to keep up her friendly smile. She lady reached into her pocket and pulled out a paper. She slid it across the counter. The paper said:

I need midazolam.

Mia was confused. She had heard nothing about someone needing an amnesiac. She looked at the stranger,
"Can you tell me who and what it's for?" The lady stuffed both hands in her pockets. She pulled another note out of her other pocket. She set it down harshly. It read:

No questions

The handwriting was slightly messier, like she was in a hurry when writing it.
Mia's face suddenly pales as she heard the click of a gun in her pocket. Mia put her hands up and backed away slowly. She realized that for once, she had noticed the woman's face. She looked angry and tired, her mouth covered by a bandana. She was glaring at Mia. She had been looking down before but now she was looking straight at Mia.
Mia went to get the drug. Once she came back with the sedative, the strange woman started to stuff all the bottles in her jacket. As Mia was scared for her life, she had grabbed about six bottles.
Suddenly, the two heard the front door slam open and heavy footsteps walk towards the door to the counter. The strange woman hurriedly grabs all the bottles and jumps over the counter, grabbing Mia by her arm and leading her out the back door, all the while Mia was screaming for help. They heard yelling from several males as the lady pushed Mia into her truck parked beside the pharmacy and began to drive off and out of town limits.
Mia was crying, she was scared for her life. She could tell that this woman was in trouble somehow and she felt as if the lady had saved her life. Mia had backed as far as she could away from the lady, closer to the door, just to be safe.
"My name is Joslyn." The lady spoke. She had a raspy and deep voice. She seemed like she wanted to continue but Mia interrupted her before she could say anything.
"Why did you kidnap me?! Why did you run away from those men?! Are you going to hurt--"
"Quiet!" Joslyn snapped. Mia shut her mouth instantly. "I will answer all your questions when we get to our destination. For now, just know that I just saved you from possibly getting killed, tortured, or whatever." Mia's face turned pale once she heard the word "tortured." "Why didn't you watch the news today? They always send out warnings for when this happens." Joslyn almost sounded amused by this fact.
Mia never watched TV in the mornings. It was noted as a distraction from her getting to work and getting to school on time. Now that she's thinking about it, Mia never watched TV at all. The only thing she did was read or do research for school projects.
Mia shook her head quickly at Joslyn's question.
"At least listen to the radio. That town has some strict rules, but that doesn't mean you can't listen to some sick tunes in the morning." Joslyn seemed to be trying to lighten the mood, but it was proven to not be helpful, considering the current situation.
"You don't need to worry," she says in a gentler voice, "you're safe now."
