Jasper had shown up about 4 hours after he left to find Sheriff Stork sitting in the living room investigating me asking me questions about what happened. I heard the door creak open and looked up at Jasper standing there in the hallway staring at me, menacingly. Sheriff Stork caught my gaze. He stood up and turned around to face the monster that had just walked in.
I went deathly pale. My head starting pounding and my heart was gunning. Jasper made a mad dash for me, as he was running he pulled out a switchblade. He intended to kill me? With a police officer right here? Moron.
Officer Tamisha walked in and saw what was happening and ran up behind Jasper, tackling him and removing the weapon from his possession. He was handcuffed. Thank God.
I was sitting on the couch with my knees scrunched up to my face, crying and thinking a whirlwind of thoughts. Suicidal mainly.
"That bitch! She's lying! I never layed a hand on her!" He was screaming and thrusting around, trying to break free of the officer's grip.
"Sir, sir, calm down. No one has even accused you of anything yet and you knew what we were gonna say....." Sheriff Stork turned to Officer Tamisha, "Book 'em."
Alice was sitting by me now, arm around my shoulders hugging me, trying to tell me that it would be ok, and what Jasper said confirmed my worst fear.
"If I ever get out Rain Nicole Ghilla you're dead. I'm gonna fucking kill you!" And like that the officers escorted him out, but I had a feeling it wasn't the last of him I would see.
As Sheriff Stork took Jasper out Officer Tamisha was assuring me that he wouldn't be able to touch me. I didn't believe her. At all.
2 weeks later....
School was starting back in less than an hour. I really didn't want to go. How could I face all those people? After what happened over this summer, I didn't know who I could trust anymore.
I was putting my makeup on and teasing my hair when Alice walked up behind me. She was holding paperwork.
"Hey, I have a surprise.....well so Jasper can't find us again, I'm going to take us to get make-overs later and I got our names changed."
I looked at her, "Names changed? So...what's my new name?"
She smiled, "Well I read your diary and saw where at one point you said you liked the name 'Hannah' so now your name is Hannah Elise Hartman and mine is Haley Regine."
Hannah? I have my favorite name now? Sweet. "Cool, I like it. Thanks." I went back to finishing my makeup.
"We have to leave in like ten minutes so be ready."
"Okay."
By 7:45 a.m. I was at school. I didn't have any friends really so I went into the courtyard and sat by myself under a pillar. I felt so awkward as it is. I had blue hair, Gothic looking eyeliner, it was 102 degrees outside and I was the only kid wearing a hoodie and skinny jeans. I felt alone.
"Hey, I could help but notice you." A guy I didn't recognize spoke with a voice that wasn't low or wasn't high, but his voice was just cute, enticing. He had super straight black and purple hair, wearing a band t-shirt, and had on the same pair of skinny jeans as I did, with grey converse. I noticed his lip was pierced. Hot.
I smiled, "Is that a good or bad thing?" I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear while looking down.
"Good," he reached his hand out to shake mine, " I'm Dillion, and whats your name pretty lady?"
I blushed and smiled, "I'm Hannah." I shook his hand, "Nice to meet you, Dillion."
"You as well. So I know it's the first day of school and all but do you wanna go to the movies tonight?"
