As soon as the bell rang for our last class I ran straight to the bathroom. Jennifer completely embarrassed me in front of the whole class. I grabbed toilet paper from the stall and looked in the mirror. I stared at myself for a minute. The teardrops stain on my cheeks, the pimple on my chin.

(Last Period)
10 minutes earlier.

Mr. Rivera was catching some students up that haven't been here for awhile so I decided to plug in my headphones and listen to A Boogie's song Fall in love when I hear some one bickering next to me. I turn my music down so I can hear what was being said. It was Jennifer and her friend Alexus.

"Is he sleeping with.. her?"

"I don't even want to think about that" Jennifer had a disgusted look on her face.

"W-who are you guys talking about" I accidentally opened my mouth before I thought about the consequences. My palms were already sweaty.

"Oops, did you hear us?" Alexus said causing Jennifer to giggle.

"Well I'm right next to you so yeah, kind of." I stiffened in my seat as I noticed that some people were looking. I looked around the classroom for Mr. Rivera but he was no where to be found.

"No need for the tone, hun. We were just talking about you and my boyfriend." Jennifer's lips turned from a regular smile to a smirk.

"I already told you there is nothing going on between Jay and I". I rolled my eyes as I started to become annoyed.

"You guys couldn't be just study buddies. When you were talking to Jay at lunch I saw you blushing it was like..." Our conversation already got some of the attention of the other students, Jennifer was anything but quiet.
She paused for a moment to send me a wink and she tilted her head to the left as she did whenever she was getting ready to spill. "Like you're in love with him" Her smirk was no longer there she sending glares my way. I looked around the room to see the students snickering under their breath. I've never been so embarrassed at school before. My face filled red like a cherry from embarrassment. I sat in my seat turning back up my music, biting my lip to keep the tears back as I waited for the bell to ring.

Why was Jennifer so jealous? I was nothing compared to her. Jay loves her. He... loves her. She has clear skin, her makeup is never bumpy, anything she wears looks great on her. There was no comparison.

I cleaned myself up and walked out the bathroom. I kept my head down while walking towards the front of the building when I bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry" I look up to see Jay twisting one of his curls around his finger, "Oh, it's you."

I watch him study my face for a second,
"You've been crying?"

It almost didn't sound like a question, he was sure of it. I did my best cleaning my face up but the remnants are bound to still be there.

"Little issue in my last class but it's fine" I gave him a small smile to camouflage the tears building in my eyes.

"That's the class you have with Jennifer, right? Rivera's?" That vein started becoming visible across forehead, "She said something." His face wasn't of anger, aggravation maybe, maybe even sadness.
