Chapter 2

Josh's P.O.V

I hear the lady on the speaker say we will be landing soon. I have a feeling Jen's not really sleeping. I shake her anyways. She lifts her head, "Are we landing?" "Yeah."

As we get off the plane Jen, Sam and I go to greet the rest of the cast that got there before us. "Hey Jena, Woody, Willow, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, how's it going!" We all talk for a while when we spot the paps. We get into our vans that will bring us to our rental houses. As we pull up I see another van, I wonder who's going to be my neighbor. When Jen gets out the other van I'm elated.

I decide to go in and unpack before surprising Jen. While I'm upstairs packing I'm wondering if I should make food and bring it or order take-out. I think I'll do take-out if I make food Jen will call it cheesy. That's another reason I love her, even though it doesn't take much to please her, she deserves the world. Shoot! I forgot Claudia told me to call her when I flew in. I really don't want to talk to her but I promised. I pick up my phone to dial her number.

After 3 rings she picks up. "Hey babe!" I say. "Oh josh! Hey!"she says "Who's that babe?"I hear a deep british voice in the background say. "Hello?"the man says into the phone. Oh god! This can't be happening! "Nick" I scream through the phone. "Shit!" is all he says before hanging up. I'm paralyzed they both cheated on us I have to see Jen immediately.

Jen's P.O.V

As I'm unpacking I hear my doorbell ring. I run down the stairs to open the door hoping it's Jena so I can ask her why I'm acting so strange around Josh, because it's really bugging me why I'm acting all weird. As I open my door my problems all come rushing back at me as Josh throws me into a hug with a disturbed and angry look on his face. I hug him back then pull him back, kind of scared.

"Josh!" no answer "JOSH!" snapping him back into reality he says "Sit down. You have to sit down for this." Worried I sit down, not knowing what was so important to take that beautiful, handsome smile off of Josh's face. "W-what is it Josh, Are you ok?" He takes a deep thoughtful breathe.

Josh's P.O.V

I take a deep breathe wondering how to approach or even explain what I heard on the phone. Knowing this will hurt Jen more then it will ever hurt me, and that's the last thing I want, is for Jen to be hurt. "Ok. I talked to Claudia when I got into my house..." "Ok and... I have to call Nick when I'm do-" he cuts me off saying "No don't!" he's really scaring me now "W-why?"

"Well that's the thing when I called her I heard someone in the background say 'who's that babe'..." "Oh I'm so sorry Jo-""Just listen please." So I sit back ready to hear why he needed to tell me this. "The voice in the back sounded familiar, but but I just couldn't place it.... that is until he took the phone. He said 'Hello?' and that's when I recognized the deep british accent. I yelled into the phone 'Nick!' he said 'Shit!' and hung up the phone. I'm so sorry Jennifer."

Jen's P.O.V

I heard him talking but I couldn't hear what he was saying over the pounding in my chest. By this point I'm crying so hard I can't see a thing, but I think I feel Josh's arms around me. Why would he do this to me I love him, I thought he loved me too. And why would he hurt Josh too.

"That little bitch Claudia, I knew something wasn't right about her. She's not right for Josh! I am!" Did I just say that out loud! To make sure. I look at Josh who is in complete shock. What. Did. I. Just. Do. "J-j-josh I didn't mean that.". The smirk I saw on his face for just a second has turned into a look of straight disappointment. I can't win.

Josh's P.O.V

I thought she meant it. I really did but as soon as I got my hopes up they dropped again as I realize she was probably just trying to make me feel better. "It's fine Jennifer, I just thought you should know. I'll talk to you later. Come over later if you want, I'm on you're right. Love you. Bye."

Jen's P.O.V

And as soon as he came he was gone and so was Nick. I'm alone, again. But for some reason when Josh said he loved me it was different than any other time he said it. And why was he disappointed. As I'm about to call Jena to have a pity party with me I get a call from....Nick.

I hesitate but pick it up. "H-h-hello." "Hey uh Jen have you by any chance talked to Josh." I want to see if he'll tell me the truth so I lie "No, why?" "Nothing. Was just wondering if you haden't called me because you two were catching up."

"Oh, well where are you?" "Um... at uh work." I know how I can get him. "Who's with you I hear some shuffling in the background." "No one I'm in my trailer." its crazy how good he lies to me. "Well let me talk to someone!" "Sorry I gotta go." "Wait! I've talked to Josh and he told me everything and if you would've fessed up I would've thought about giving you another chance, but no! You had to lie! So we are done! Don't even bother calling!".

And with that it was over a 3 year relationship out the window. Maybe it's for the best. Maybe Josh is best for me. Josh! God I've been so selfish he just lost his girlfriend and I'm over hear having a pity party. What side was he on again? Right? Right.
