~Part 1~
It is nearing the end of November and the chill has already really started to kick in. Normally you would've skipped the strong early caffeine outside your flat and waited until uni, but for once you are running on time. Your lessons don't start until 9am so you see no harm in taking half an hour of peace and quiet to yourself.
The streets are still being half illuminated by the street lights over head and the fog wraps the city up like a thick and heavy blanket. Heading down the road with a clutch of the coat, you turn onto the street with all the small shops that are either coffee shops, local produce sellers or laundry shops. Smiling at the people passing you by, you choose a coffee shop that you've never been in, wanting to try something new since you have the time.
Inside, it smells like cinnamon scrolls and flowers, immediately warming you up. Decorations include wooden framed items, lanterns, and different variations of butterflies.
Ordering at the front counter, you sit down at the table on the edge and pull out your phone, seeing that you have a missed call and a message from Kathy. Sending back a quick, 'I'll be there Monday, poetry reading such a geek xx' you converse to suduko while your coffee arrives. "Thanks." You smile as the lady sets down a cup of coffee on your table with a complimentary small croissant.
The coffee is delicious and just sitting down in a content environment makes you even more relaxed. Quiet chatter fills the shop, few odd people here and there talking about life and even a couple debating over a tv show, Sherlock, or was it Supernatural? Either way, everyone is having a pleasant time. Filling in some more answers to the suduko at hand, you sit and drink your coffee with a reserved smile.
Time literally does fly because when you check your phone for the time, you see that it's quarter to nine, that means that lessons are about to start. Packing up your things and thanking the owners, you go to walk out of shop when you accidentally bump into a man on your way out.
"Sorry." You apologize, slinging your bag back on your shoulder as you pick it up off the floor. The man, or boy, smiles back at you and apologizes too. "I have to get to class." You smile apologetically as you walk away. He wishes you luck for some reason and that's just the chance to have a proper look at him and not having to do a double take.
As you look away (and nearly having run into a pole), you blush slightly as the bright green eyes stay in your mind. On the walk and bus ride to uni, all you can think about is the boy and his smile. "Chose a good coffee shop." You hum to yourself, hoping you'll see him again.
