Eighteen year old's Kennedy Smith and Jennifer Benson were in thier last year at Dublin High, and thought it was going to be the best year ever. With good grades and good friends what more could someone want? Well little to Jen's knowledge, Kennedy was on the search for a boyfriend. She always felt like she could never get anyone and there no use in even trying. Until someone really caught her attention, Connor Baily.
He was a popular guy, which to Kennedy's dismay meant the blonde haired, blue eyed boy would simply look through her. She would always see him smile and have to accept it wasn't because of her.
Jen to was in search of someone, she never told Kennedy this but she knew still. They had been friends since first grade and so it was almost as if they could read each others minds. Kennedy, how ever over the years learned how to build a wall, one that even the telepathic brains could not break.
They both wanted someone else in their lives. Kennedy and Jen both had their hearts set on someone too,but what's that matter if they can't even talk to them?
Connor would never be caught hanging out with Kennedy, so she thought. Jen wasn't sure what her guy thought. She wanted to be with a boy named Adam Dunn.
Adam was also a sporty boy, in fact he's bestfriends with Connor. They knew every girl in school drooled over them and they could get any girl to. Kennedy and Jen how ever were not their first choice, and they knew this. As sad as it was they were not letting that be the determining factor.
Kennedy was going to talk to Connor first thing when they got to school. Jen however took her attention away from that by telling her she was moving when they finished school.
"Why?" Kennedy asked her as they walked to their math class.
"It's so I can go to State!" She said excitedly. Ah, NC State, the dream college for Jen and Kennedy. Even in elementary they have wanted to go, and now Jen has got the chance.
"Hey, I have an idea!" Jen said suddenly, leaving Kennedy with a puzzled look.
"Come with me!!" she smiled and all Kennedy did was stare at her blankly.
"Wha...?" She said softly. Her mom would never let he do that, no matter how much she wanted to.
"See, I know what your thinking, my parents and your parents already talked about it." Kennedy just continued staring at her.
"I'm so going!" Kennedy yelled!
