New Love Chapter 4

Magnus's POV:

I set the note on the counter and walked out of the convenient store. "I hope everything works out...." I whispered to myself. I felt Alec start fidgeting and he started mumbling.

"A-are we almost there yet?" he asked quietly. I nodded.

"Yeah, it's just around the corner." He nodded and put his head back down. I walked around the corner and came up to my apartment building. I walked in and was greeted by the man at the front counter. I couldn't recall his name.

"Good evening Mr. Bane! How was your day?" he asked cheerfully.

"It was good, and yours?" I asked as I continued to walk through the lobby.

"Mine was great, thanks for asking!" I smiled at him and entered the elevator. I pressed the button for the 14th floor, the top floor, and waited. When it reached the 14th floor I stepped out of the elevator and walked to my room. I pulled my keys out of my pocket and stepped inside.

I let out a sigh of relief. It was good to be home. I removed mine and Alec's shoes. I walked in and placed the bags of beverages and snacks on the table, then I laid Alec on the couch. I went back to the dining room and grabbed the bags. I brought them into the kitchen and, as quietly as I could, took care of everything.

Just as I was putting the chocolate donuts away I heard the shuffling of socks on wood floor. I turned around to see Alec rubbing his eyes and shuffling over to me. "Hey babe." "There's no need to be embarrassed." He smiled a little bit and nodded. "Now sit up so u can take your jacket off." He did as he was told and I took his jacket and v-neck off. I tossed them on the floor and looked at his chest. He was covered in spell marks. He noticed me staring and tried to cover his chest. "Sorry, I wasn't trying to make you feel uncomfortable."
