"Alright, look," Carlea said, clearly fed up with all the banter and questions boiling in her brain. "If you can just send me home now, I'll be eternally grateful and you'll never have to hear from me again."

Kadi herself was warming up to the idea (she had been all for that thought hours ago) despite the complications they faced. "You have no idea how much I want to do that."

"So then just do it!" Carlea said irritatedly.

"Don't you think I would if I could?" Kadi exclaimed angrily. "Unless you know the exact coordinates of your home dimension off the top of your head, we have to search for it ourselves! And do you know how long that will take, dearie? Weeks! It could take months! So I'm sorry, hun, but until we find the world you came from, you're stuck here."

Her outburst had stunned everyone into silence. They eyed her warily, though the reason for her sudden unhinging was understandable. It was early morning, with dawn approaching, and she had gone through quite a bit of stressful occurrences over the past night. No one could really blame her for her threads wearing a little thin by then.

Carlea looked at her like she was insane. Apparently the yelling didn't bother her at all. "I swear to god, I am drugged up right now."

"Uhm, what?" Canada dared to inquire.

"Y'know, like maybe I went insane and I'm in a rubber room right now. The drugs could be making all that I'm seeing seem real." The odd looks she received didn't deter her. "What? It's legit in my mind."

She sure did like to talk, it would seem. "Yeah, it makes sense! Like I'm seeing people that I know because it's what the drugs are making me see. And... Well, I'm not sure about you people I don't know," she added with a contemplative look toward America, Canada, Rayn, Joy, and a few others, "but that could also be the drugs. Now let's see, what was I doing before then...?

"Ah-ha, I was walking home from Sera's house. And-- she made me tea! I bet that's it, she accidentally drugged my tea!" Carlea sent a scalding glance at Kadi, who tried to look surprised as well as innocent. "Thanks a lot, Sera."

"Alright, alright, look," Kadi said with a "simmer down" gesture. "That "Sera" you're talking about is not me." She strode forward and put a hand on top of the girl's head out of the blue.

It was an informational feed, like she was reading her mind but only the facts that were relevant to the situation. "You are Carlea Jones, you're twenty-three years old, you live in New York City, and you work in a café run by Francis Bonnefoy. His sister, Serafina Bonnefoy, is mentally unstable and you bring food to her every week."

France's face adopted a weirded-out expression at the mention of "Serafina Bonnefoy".

"I, on the other hand, am Serafina Kirkland. Get it, honey?" Kadi let go of the human and stepped back.

Carlea put a light hand against her forehead, which made a few strands of hair stick up oddly. "How... How did you do that?"

"It's called magic, and I am just itching to use it to wipe your memory right now," she answered with a childish grin akin to Russia's own.

Said Russian smiled appreciatively.

"Kadi, you can't do that!" Canada whisper-exclaimed quickly.

The Basque rolled her eyes and flipped her silver hair over her shoulder. "I know, I know. But she's really starting to piss me off."

"Hey, vhat did I miss?" a German-accented voice called as he and Kate clomped down the stairs and greeted the congregation before them.

"Sorry we're late," Kate apologized sweetly. Her hand was in Prussia's loosely, yet comfortably.
