One thing I will never forget is the way he smirked at me whenever I was wrong, with a slight sarcastic curve in his flushed lips. And even though it bothered me, it was still something that slowly made me fall more and more in love. He had everything. Smart, funny, handsome. He had everything going for him. But for some reason, he still felt lost. I used to see it in his eyes. Maybe it was the realization that he was slowly becoming more and more like the others. His life more a routine and going through the motions, than the unique soul I knew he was. Maybe it was the anxiety. The stress of waiting for his inescapable end. Or maybe, just maybe, lost was all it was. Him being just far too gone to find himself once again. Everyone is too scared to ask the question. But I'm not. He taught me not to be scared of anything. Everyone is too scared to ask why. The truth frightens them, it's something that makes everything too real. But if knowing why makes me closer to him, closer in some sort of twisted way, than knowing why is what I aim to do. And I promise you Kaiden, I will find the answer. I loved you too much to let you just disappear like that.
Authors note: I know these chapters are really, really short. I just want to start publishing and get the story rolling. I'm going to try and post these short chapters at least two (2) to three (3) times a day, and the longer chapters each day. I really hope you like this so far, I know it's not much to go by, but it gets interesting. Trust me! Anyways, I think I'm going to make I really quick FAQ about the characters, or myself. Just comment some questions and I'll answer all of them. Thanks everyone, enjoy!!
