I WILL BE RELEASING A LONG ONE-SHOT AU ON THE SINNER AND THE SADIST, SET IN THE ARKHAM KNIGHT UNIVERSE!
IT WILL BE ABOUT 5000 WORDS, ONE PART, COMING SOON!!!

~~

I must sound like a psycho to Kalie, who can probably hear me laughing as I watch the constantly-played footage of Eli running away from a couple of Gangsters this morning.

Batman gets there in time, but watching my opponent grovel like a weakling has literally made my week better. I should use the footage in my campaign to highlight what a pussy he is.

Either way I have to do my job. Batman delivered the attackers, then Commissioner Gordon called, saying that one of them can sell out the gang they're from.

Eli launched a twitter rant claiming that if I don't see to this personally it shows a deep disrespect for the seat I sit in, seeing as he is a 'fellow DA'. In his fucking dreams.

I need to interview them to find out what information they might have. Normally I'd leave it to one of the ADAs, but seeing as they attacked Eli, I feel they require my personal attention...for praise.

"Why does your schedule say you're going out?" Telysha suddenly bursts into my office. I don't look up from my computer.

"I have an interview to conduct."

"On a lowly gangbanger? Give it to one of the other idiots in there! These guys tried to kill Delaney already-"

"So they obviously have a lot in common with me, right?" I respond, getting up and reaching for my jacket. Telysha sighs when I stop in front of her.

"At least...I don't know, don't go in alone? Take Jim with you."

I roll my eyes. There's obviously another issue here, or she wouldn't bend so easily. I keep walking towards my door when she calls out.

"What's with you and Kalie?"

My hand is just as the door handle when I freeze at the question. What's with me and Kalie?...

"I don't know," I tell her, not looking back. When I pull open the door and stride out I make the conscious decision to not glance at my secretary. "Send ADA Kulsky on the case I would have had today with Tarron."

"Of course," she says, sounding bewildered as I leave her office too.

"Tell me about the gangbanger," I say, as Telysha rushes to catch up with my striding through the top floor.

"Thirty years old, lean build, tall, blonde, Russian, possible connection to the-"

"Salvores?" I ask nervously. It'd be just like my father to order an attack.

"No," Telysha frowns, "He's not from Lightway. He's from Opal."

I nearly skid on my heels when she says that. Russian. From Opal City. I turn around and look at her, repeating the words.

"Yeah, that's what I said," she responds, looking me up and down with a bit of fear.

"There's only one Russian mob in Opal. The Luchshes."

"Exactly; they're enemies of the Salvores, right?" She asks dumbly. Suddenly this situation takes an entire new track and I turn my back on Telysha, hurrying towards the elevator and hitting the ground floor button.

As I get into my car I can't stop thinking about it. He's here. It has to be him. If the rumours are true, it's him and now I'm about to interview someone who has spoken to him, touched him...someone who knows him like I don't.
