London's pov
I continue to search through the dresses and I hear Tyler say something.
"What? I wasn't listening," he laughs.
"I asked if the bike gate thing was before he started school here?" I nodded, "Why weren't you listening?"
"I like this song," I motion to the speaker where sweet sacrifice by Evanescence is playing softly.
"You play any instruments?" Why are these two so interested in me all of a sudden?
"Not really, I play guitar and sing by choice, piano by force."
"By force?" Seth finally speaks again.
"Yeh, my Dad is really pushy like that, I love him though." I say without looking at him. I stop searching through the dresses and pull one out. It's a sleeveless, floor length black dress with black sequins making it sparkle up the top and they eventually spread out and fade just below the middle. I really like it, it's simple and my colour, perfect. I sigh.
"What's wrong?" I pull out my phone and answer it. The guys nod realising that I had it on silent.
"Yeh?"
"Is that any way to answer the phone to your father, young lady?"
"Oh, hi Dad, I didn't check the caller ID, I thought it was Nic telling me to walk home again." I hear him sigh and can imagine my father fixing his glasses and rubbing his forehead.
"Did you two fight again?"
"No Dad, we didn't, I just have a feeling he had something to do with Meily being forced into prom and my group deciding on going." I sigh.
"No that was your mother, and the reason I was calling you. Sorry about the late notice sweetie but work is full on."
"It's okay Dad, I have to go now, on my way back to class."
"I was wondering why you picked up."
"Yeh, was in the bathroom helping Tally with fixing her make up, some idiot threw water on her." The guys are looking at me weirdly and its freaking me out.
"Bye Dad,"
"Bye Lon," I hang up and rub the back of my neck.
"My parents are out of the country and don't know I skip. Nic and I have an agreement."
They shrug and I put the dress back."Why don't you hang out with me tonight? You can't go home and Taliesha and Ryan are spending tonight together," I groan. Why does this have to happen? Put up with Seth and Tyler bombarding me with questions or with the sound of my brother and his new fling. I guess I'll put up with questions.
"Fine, only because no matter where else I go I'd be grossed out." Seth smiles and Tyler laughs.
"So Goth, how'd you get that scar on your neck?" Tyler asks me pulling my hair out of the way. Shit. Quick, Lon, think of something.
"How'd you see that? I make sure to cover it."
"I pointed it out to Seth in class, nice tat behind your ear too." What the hell!? "So, how'd you get it?"
"At the tattoo parlour,"
"No the scar smart ass,"
"My ass isn't that smart it can't even talk." I reply, it's so easy to change the subject and annoy them.
"Haha very funny, now tell us Goth!" Tyler shouts. Christ.
"Ugh, I was pushed on some glass as a little girl, after that, things, well, things changed." I sighed at the end. It was true, after I got that scar everything changed, my brother became more and more protective, not leaving me alone for too long, always making sure I was with someone, my parents decided to expand their business because then they could afford the best for us kids. I must have been lost in thought for quite some time before Tyler coughed and I looked up to see them staring at me.
"What?"
"You've been sitting there since we got to mine, you alright Goth?" Seth's voice is serious.
"Yeh, just lost in my thoughts, happens a lot." They nod and I get out of the car, wow, this isn't Tally's place so it isn't Seth's so it must be Tyler's. It looks like it's only a three bedroom, the garden out front is quite beautiful if I'm honest.I look around before Tyler taps me on the shoulder. I glare at him.
"Just warning about my Mom, she is, well, a bit over the top sometimes." What?
"Tyler, Seth, darlings you took your time deciding to come back." She looks at me and smiles really widely, "and who is this lovely young lady? My dear I'm Anette, or Annie, which ever you prefer. Do you go to school with these boys? How do you know them? Are they nice to you? When did you meet? Oh what am I saying, let's start with your name sweetie." I am damn sure my eyes are as wide as her smile and my god she is beautiful though. Her long brown curls, green eyes and dark skin just make her look stunning.
"Mom, please don't frighten h-" I cut Tyler off.
"Please call me Goth, I do go to school with these two, kinda a long story, I guess so and we properly met today." I say, the guys looking at me stunned.
"Your name is Goth?" She sounds confused.
"No but I'm not telling these two my real name in case they add me on Facebook or something, I'm best friends with Seth's little sister." She nods.
"Oh come on into the kitchen, I'd like to talk to you properly dear," she takes my hand and leads me into the house before anyone can protest, not that I would, she seems cool. It would be good to have a parent around all the time.
