London's pov
I had completely forgotten what had happened to us, to our family. That's why Mom and Dad started working so much, to get us away from the crappy side of town and give Nic the training to protect me. All they did, they did to make sure I was okay, to make sure I was safe. I didn't realise until Michelle was gone that j was crying again, I don't want this pain, but it'll become a memory in time.
"Is it you in there, Lon?" I sniffed and looked up to see Tyler.
"Yeh," he smiles sadly at me, he seems to know the pain I'm feeling.
"The other guy that hurt you was my Dad apparently, I guess it sorta makes sense though." He sighs and sits down next to me.
"Are the others coming out?" He shakes his head, "good, I don't like Dad and Nic seeing me like this, I don't want Seth to either." He puts his arm around me and I rest my head in his shoulder.
"I'll be here for you too, I promise you Lon." He rubs my back soothingly and starts to hum to me. Honestly, I wouldn't mind having him as a brother, he seems to treat me like a sister anyway. I sigh and list things I need to do for school and for when I finish.

3. Do photo shoot for class
4. Apply for colleges
5. Find a way to get to these said colleges
Listing always helped me feel better, it's what Michelle would do when she was mad or upset, I started by copying her when I was five, then I started doing it myself. It is amazing what you pick up from family.

Later that day, Tyler is helping Nic with his tie, because as always, Nic is hopeless. I'm getting into my prom dress, surprisingly it looks really good on. The peachy colour brings out the lighter colour in my eyes, making them look more golden than usual, the sparkle enhances my hairs natural shine, no I am not wearing a wig to prom. I bought a nice pair of silvery heels to go with it, they aren't too high, otherwise I wouldn't be able to walk. I do my hair in a pony tail, with a strand hanging out the left side, I then curl it and spray it with hair spray to hold it in place.
"Hey Lon," I turn and smile at Miely, "did you want me to explain everything properly?"
"Nah, it's fine. You explained it better earlier and I don't think I want more detail." She laughs and nods.
"You look stunning," she beams.
"Thank you, you look incredible too, I can't believe that you actually get to go to prom now!" I slightly squealed. Miely is wearing an ice blue dress, no sleeves, that comes down to the floor. Her brown curly hair is now straight and she opted for a natural look but has diamanté stick ons next to her eyes. I continue to do my make up, instead on my usually dark look, I opt for a light pink lipstick, and peach eyeshadow with sparkles. Maybe this is what my brother means when he says he wants his princess sister, I laugh at the though and continue with eyeliner. When I'm done, I dry the eyeliner with a hair dryer to speed it up as it was liquid and put on my golden and red mask.
"Oh one more thing, these are for you, I won't be here for your birthday because of my work, but I've grown very fond of you." Miely said as she puts a pearl necklace around my neck, then hands me pearl earrings to match.
"Oh Miely! You know you can always keep contact, you are my best friend, whether it was your job to be here or not!" I hug her tightly and she returns it.
"I know, it's just, before I go, could we have one of our weekends. Starting tonight?" I nod eagerly.
"Rom-coms, popcorn, ice cream, gossip, brunch and a movie, shopping and finally a nice dinner send off to my protector and best friend for ever." She has tears in her eyes and she sniffs slightly.
"Don't cry, I don't want to be the reason you ruin your makeup, even though they are happy tears," I hug her and she nods.
"Now come on you, we can't keep the boys waiting!" I laugh and go down stairs with her, she decided to go with Nic, Tyler is going with himself, because and I quote "I don't need a date when I have someone as sexy as myself," to which I responded to with, "I can't wait till you meet a girl who puts you in your place about that" then laughing.

"Wow, you look incredible Donnie," Seth says with his mouth wide open. He takes my hand and kisses it before putting a light pink rose corsage on it.
"Seth, it's beautiful," I fix his tie and buttonhole flower and he chuckles.
"I've never been good with these things." I agree with a slight hum and say bye to Dad and Anette before leaving, hand in hand with Seth, Nic, Miely and Tyler close behind. Seth opens the door for me and I slide in, then he gets in, then Miely, and Nic and Tyler get I the front. Just by everyone's mood, I can tell tonight is going to be good, followed by a perfect weekend to give Miely the best send off that any girl like her should have. I've already started planning it with everyone, I keep her busy all of Saturday and we come home to her actual send off. Well, I get her to come up to my room and make her wear a dress I bought for her, she deserves nothing less. Especially when she has to leave and continue on with a dangerous job.
