Lost time is never found again.

Benjamin Franklin

Cold air nipped at both our skins as we went out of our apartment. It's been months since we’ve-me and Draky-started living together but I still couldn't get used to these changes. I’ve been so used to seeing Draky spacing out while waiting for me outside my parent's house, it felt like such a long time since I saw them and I’ve been feeling a bit homesick lately. But still, seeing the love of your life (I know it's really cheesy) everyday was enough for me that I wouldn't complain as much anymore.

Tonight, we were celebrating Andre's and Driana's we're-getting-married party and they were all hyped up. Draky was gradually accepting the fact that his best friend and twin sister are getting married, he was partly in shock when they announced their engagement. It was funny. But today, he was relaxed and seemed like he didn't care as long as they were both happy and I think that's exactly what he's thinking.

I was pulled from my reverie by the cold wind; discreetly, I removed my hands from Draky's and cradled my arms closer to my body. But, as usual, nothing gets away from Draky and noticed I was cold. Of course, he would notice. He removed his jacket and placed it on my shoulders. I gave him a stern look that said, 'I don't need this’, he’s been pretty protective lately but I get that. It’s just that he’s fun to be teased with but right now it’s not working on him. Has he mastered my techniques? Haha, yeah right.

He just smiled and said, “Do you want to get hypothermia or what? You are wearing that, okay?”

“Wow. Draky, using some big words there.” I say but obediently puts on the jacket.

“Let’s just go,” He puts on a satisfied smile, like he knows my plans with teasing him, and links his fingers with mine once again.

The restaurant Andre chose (Driana have been complaining non-stop about not being able to choose the restaurant) was fancy, like really fancy. Being a cartoonist must really pay. And everyone thought he wasn’t going to get anything from this job but we were all on full support for him, I treat him like my brother already.

We find them sitting on a corner of the room; sitting together, hands interlocked and smiling from ear-to-ear. I tug Draky with my hand to make him move faster as I practically ran to meet with Driana. She threw myself to me as soon as I was close enough to touch, I almost fell. I respond by giving her a tight hug that lasted for about a minute and we settle ourselves comfortably in our seats.

A girl with her ponytail held too high had a flirtatious smile on her face, when she saw Andre and Draky then momentarily turning to a scowl as she saw us but quickly replaced it with a fake smile. I and Driana were smug the whole time she was getting our orders, rolling eyes as she stuttered away from our table.

“She was checking you out,” I heard Driana tell Andre with an amused tone.

Andre looked like he didn’t notice it but sure as hell he did! He was just right to go with this kind of tactic, knowing Driana she would probably be hurt with Andre actually acknowledging the girl.

“You’re much better than her. In a lot of levels,” We all laughed as the waitress went back with our food, shooting daggers at Andre. I wonder how she got our food so fast.

For the rest of the night we reminisce about old times, how Andre and Draky made the bet which resulted into a rollercoaster of experience. It was fun to do these kinds of things with the people I love especially since I have long moved on with the situation with the bet. It really made me smiling a lot now.
