EIGHT

Eunra's POV

I took out my phone and called Seokjin. Mingyu and Jennie were together with me in the living room of my house.

On the line.

"Eunra-ah~" Seokjin cooed from the other line.

"Sup. Can you come over to my house in 5 minutes?" I asked.

"What? That's an extremely unreasonable request because I'm not an aer-"

"Okay fine then don't come. Bye bye~" I cut him off and hung up on him.

I counted down to five minutes and sure enough, Seokjin's car was seen in the driveway as he quickly ran through the main door. Sweat was dripping from his forehead and he immediately sat down on the dining table; beside me and opposite Mingyu and Jennie.

"So what's so important?" Seokjin said as he breathed in between his words.

"Your Brother is dating my Best Friend." When I said that, Seokjin immediately face palmed himself as he slumped his body onto the dining table's chair as he kicked the air.

"YAH JEON EUNRA HOW THE HECK IS THAT IMPORTANT?!"

"Technically it is because your Brother is dating." I said and he just stood there, dumbfounded.

"Okay fine. Anyway, I have important things to tell Mingyu too."

As though Mingyu and Jennie committed a crime, we started to interrogate them. "So... how long have you guys been together?"

"Have you guys kissed yet?" Seokjin asked first followed by me.

When I asked my question, everyone including Seokjin, stared at me. "Bro that question is so private."

"Okay fine just answer the first one." I said and shrugged.

"You know that day when you said that I was going out on a date with Jennie? Yea it started since then." Mingyu said and I spat out the water that I was drinking, onto Seokjin's face.

"YAH JEON EUNRA! Dirty dirty water. No I mean, that water is dirty. Sorry." Seokjin shouted as he took some tissue to wipe his face clean.

After an hour of 'interrogation', we finally stopped asking questions because those two youngsters seemed to be so done with us.

"By the way, Mingyu, keep yourself free on 2 weeks from now. We'll be fetching grandpa home." Seokjin said and Mingyu  couldn't quite understand his statement.

"Grandpa? Who?"

"You'll meet him in 2 weeks' time. He's our biological grandpa. Abeoji's Father." Seokjin explained and Mingyu nodded in understanding.

Third Person's POV

The day was finally here. Taehyung and Tae Hee both stood outside the prison, both nervous to see their Father after so many years. Taehyung's sons, Mingyu and Seokjin, were both excited. Especially Mingyu because he was curious about how his Grandfather looked like.

As they stood there, a frail, old man came out of the prison gates. Like what they always say, "A parent never fails to recognise their child." And indeed, the old man recognised Taehyung and Taehee immediately.... even after all these years.

The man then unsteadily made his way towards his two children. Taehee and especially Taehyung were both shocked to see how weak their Father had become. "A-abeoji." Taehyung calls his Father for the first time in 22 years. Taehee didn't know what to say as she held her father's hands. It feels so strange to call him 'dad' because when she was growing up, he rarely spent time playing with her and she rarely saw him.

"Taehee-ah... look at how much you've grown. You look just like your Eomma. So beautiful." Kim Junghyung then patted his daughter's head as Taehee looked at him with tears in her eyes. "Ap-Appa." Kim Junghyung then hugged both of his children as they all started to cry. All the resentment and hatred were washed away from Taehyung's heart, together with their tears.

"Grandpa?" Mingyu said and he felt weird calling a stranger that. Kim Junghyung then stared at his youngest grandson for a moment before nodding his head. "You're Mingyu I suppose?" Mingyu then nodded to his grandfather's question.

Kim Junghyung then shifted his gaze to his eldest grandson, Kim Seokjin. "Seokjin...I remember you. You came to visit me the other time." He nodded his head at Seokjin and smiled.

It wasn't the happiest reunion but everyone were contented that their family was finally complete. Even though Taehyung's heart used to harbour the bad memories that he had with his father, it all got erased away when he met him 22 years later. Taehee on the other hand, she was overwhelmed because she has no impression of her Father before as she was still young then when her Father went to jail. Mingyu was happy that he gained a Grandfather because that meant that he would be spoiled. Seokjin was pretty chill with reuniting with his Grandfather. He still can't forget the fact that his very own Grandfather in this life, killed his entire family in his past life. But he was ready to forgive that old man... that was so frail and so weak.
