You walk out of the local grocery store, plastic bags filled with food and other such in your hands. You live fairly close to the store, so you walk every time you go.
You start the short trek to your house, when a man with a green hood pulled over his head shoves past you and knocks the groceries out of your hand. Most of the bags burst open, and the contents spill across the concrete sidewalk.
"Hey!" you yell angrily at the man. "Watch were you're going, jerk!"
The man in green quickly turns to face you. You find yourself unable to look away from his badly mutilated face. It appears whatever destroyed his appearance didn't happen too terribly long ago, as his wounds are still healing. His left eye is filled with fear, but his right one is unfocused and unmoving. Blind.
The man looks around you, then quickly walks to help you pick up your bags. "Sorry..." he mutters.
"Aye! There he is!" someone behind you yells. The man quickly looks up, and you turn around. It's the police. One officer fires a gun at the man in green, but misses horribly and hits your shoulder instead. You shout a few words that shouldn't be spoken around children.
The man looks to the police, looks at you, and tightly grabs your arm. He drags you with him as he runs, turning a few corners and into an alley. You hear the police close behind.
The man opens a dumpster in the alley, and jumps inside. He looks at you and loudly whispers, "Well? We don't have all day! Hurry!"
You hear a few gunshots and the police right around the corner. But you're innocent! You didn't do anything!
Do you hide from the police, or do you go out and risk being shot?
