Reading the angry comments for an update is HILARIOUS. 

I admit I am not the greatest person for admitting that..but come on.. 

If I had taken a picture of every single angry comment.. I could produce a movie.  I might do that for Sewer Rat haha

"You're joking, right?" Artemis scowled glancing at the raven haired teen who was smirking sarcastically at the blonde.

"I would never joke about such a thing!" Dick placed his hand against his chest with a look of false sincerity. "Batman said you needed a hacker for this mission and I kindly offered my expertise. A thank you is what I should be hearing right now." He childishly stuck his tongue out at the archer. Robin paused when he saw Wally enter the room, his heart sinking a little bit when he realized the other was avoiding eye contact with him. It was still extremely awkward between them apparently.

Artemis looked over to see Wally and smirked. "What? You two get into a lover's spat?"

Wally's face reddened and Dick clenched his fist, not at all in the mood for this subject to come up in public. Of course, they were not lovers but their relationship did not need to be preyed on by some snobby blonde that does not know when to shut up . "Why don't you shut up before I make you shut up. I a beginning to regret saving you." Dick scoffed and daringly wrapped his arm around Wally, but when he flinched, Dick quickly removed himself before continuing. "You are just jealous because our friendship is one you will never see in a lifetime. I chose to be be on this team because of wally. I don't see anyone here joining because of you..nope they got stuck with you and are just too nice to tell you that you are a bitch." Dick hummed.

"I would appreciate if you would not stir the pot anymore, friend." Kaldur walked in along with M'gann and Connor. "If we are to go on a mission, we must act like a team and not as separate parties."

"Right..Let's not fight we are going on a mission." M'gann agreed, trying to help diffuse the situation.

"Hey, I am trying here." Dick protested, raising his hands in protest.

"Does not seem like you are trying that hard." Connor commented dully.

"Say that again to my face you stupid--"

"Come on guys...can we get along..please?" Wally asked meekly. "Rob, you should try to be more friendly with the others and not just me..."

Dick scowled deeply. They had been over this. He would never get along with these 'friends' of his. He was his friend, wasn't he? Why did he need more!? Why should he have to get along with people who even after saving their life, will not even trust him to decide something as trivial as a movie. It was hypocritical if they think that he would trust them if they cant to the same. "Why should I?"

"Because if you do not work together, it might be fatal." A new voice spoke sternly and the teens froze.

" I am staying by wally' side so I do not care about the other's getting hurt."

"No. For this mission you are going to be paired off for recon. Superboy and Miss Martian. AquaLad and Kid flash. Artemis with Robin."

"Hey I did not sign up for that!" Robin protested, and by the sour look on Artemis' face, she did not agree with the pairings either.

"You are part of a team now, or have you forgotten?" Batman growled, causing the small teen to flinch only slightly. "If you are done preparing for your mission I suggest you get over your conflict and get going. I want a report written as soon as you get back."

Dick watched as the Dark Knight took his leave, fists clenching again. Due to their deal, he was in no position to up and leave, the mission or otherwise. But, boy did he want to. He felt almost caged into this situation, and he absolutely hated it.

"I still do not trust you by the way." Artemis crossed her arms. "But... I feel as if I should thank you for saving our lives that one time... you got really badly injured because we got caught..."

Dick was taken aback at the gratitude. "Gee..way to make me feel bad about calling you a bitch..." He grumbled and awkwardly held out his hand to the blonde. "So..a truce until we get back from the mission? I really don't want to die today so best do what the Bat says and get along."

"Agreed." Artemis grabbed Dick's hand and shook it.

"So we can get going then?" Wally asked nervously. He really wanted to get this mission over with so he could start forging a plan to make it up to Dick for acting like such an idiot earlier. Admittedly, his mind was still all over the place, namely his best friend was all he could think about. And to be honest, Wally had a feeling if he was paired up with Dick today...he would even have had a harder time focusing. Maybe batman knew that and that's why he chose the pairings? But how could he know--dumb question he is batman.

"Yeah, let's get this mission on the road. I packed snacks on the ship for you when the Bat wasn't looking." Dick winked at Wally.

Wally's face felt warm, but he smiled anyway. "You know me so well!"

"Of course I do, we are best buds." Dick smiled softly. He needed to get over the awkwardness between them, even if he had to pretend that what was said never happened. He had a little time to come to his resolve. That being at his friend's side would be good enough for him. He will keep him safe from harm like he always has, and that will never change. Never.
