Lange Party

"Sarah, this camera please!"
"Are you Jessica's friend?"
"Do you know who else is going to be at this party?"

Cameras flashed in front of Amanda and I as we stepped outside our car. Jessica held a small gathering that night so we could get to know each of the cast members. I brought Amanda because why the hell not. Her house was amazing. It was not so big, but big enough for a party, comfortable, and we could so tell that the house and everything in it was expensive.

"I am legit sweating right now." Amanda said. I laughed. She had this huge crush on Jessica Lange.

"Girls!" Jessica greeted us and gave each of us a kiss on the cheek.

"I brought wine". I said.

"And a friend!" Amanda added.

Jessica smiled and introduced herself to Amanda who was about to faint. They ended up talking the whole night. At least the night went well for one of us. I paced back and forth, from drinks, to the snack counter, back to the couch where I smoked my cigarette and pretended I was listening to Zachary talks like everybody else was. Then I heard noises from the front door. Meant someone just walked in and the paps just followed them to the front door. I turned around and saw Lily in her jeans and flower patterned blouse in front of the door, greeted by Jessica. I turned around and continued listening to Zach.

The night went on. Zach had to go to the rest room, made our little group around the couch a bit quiet. I talked with Connie for a while because she asked me what I thought about American Horror Story. Once in a while I would glance to the other side of the room where Lily was talking to young Frances, I forgot her name, Alexandra something. I don't know, she played the younger Moira. Few glances later she caught me, or I caught her? Either way our eyes met that time and she waved at me. I smiled and waved back. She tilted her head suggesting me to come over there.

"Hey, I think I'm going to go get some more drink, you want any?" I asked.

"No, thanks." Connie said.

I finally escaped the couch and actually poured myself a drink before I went to Lily.

"Hi guys.." I greeted and sat next to Lily.

"Sarah, this is Alexandra Breckenridge, Alexandra this is Sarah Paulson." Lily introduced us to one another.

"Hi, nice to meet you." I said as we shook hands.

"I know who she is Lily, you shouldn't have introduced her to me." Alexandra smiled.

We ended up talking for hours about Alexandra personal life and I gave her advises before she finally went home at 9 pm.

"So what about you?" I asked.

"Hm?" Lily just took a sip of her wine.

"What's your story?"

"My life is not that exciting." She looked down and shook her head.

"So that's your story? You're insecure." I said followed by her laughter.

"I just wanted to say how beautiful your description of Nora Montgomery was. I have been thinking about what you said and it helped me with my acting. It's like I understand her more now." She paused for a while.

"So, thank you!" She continued.

"No problem. I thought you didn't like it. I was like, wow Sarah, that was even more depressing than the actual Nora."

Lily laughed.

"And you didn't even say a word after that!" I exclaimed.

"I'm sorry, it was awkward in that room. You seen me naked!" Lily said while trying to control her laughter.

"Well not that lucky, I didn't see anything." I replied and sighed.

"Few more glasses of this and I will show you." Lily laughed.

We ended up talking for hours. Laughed at each other stupid joke that was not even funny. We were a bit drunk. Once in a while I checked on Amanda, she was too having fun listening to Jessica.

A phone buzzes. Lily took her phone out of her purse and walked away before she picked it up. Must be a private call she didn't want me to hear. I observed her talking on the phone on the other side of the room, pacing back and forth while biting her nail. Her expression changed from scared, to mad, back to scared. Then she walked to the window and peeked outside before she hung up the phone and walked towards me.

"Hey, sorry, I have to go." She sighed and hugged me goodbye.

"Why? What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing, just silly stuff I need to take care of now. I will see you on set ok?" And just like that she walked away. I watched her walk from behind, her long blonde ponytail swayed. She said goodbye to Jessica and turned to me once again before she got out. I waved at her and she waved back.

All alone once again. I took a sip of my drink and decided to look outside the window if Lily was still there. Outside was a car parked right across Jessica's house. A man was in the driver seat and next to him was Lily who seemed mad and was yelling at him. The man yelled back before he eventually drove away fast and recklessly.
