"[Y/N]!" I heard Amelie scream. My head was ringing loudly and my whole body felt numb, I collapsed to the ground, vision blurry, barely looking at that wretched man laughing knowing that I'll take the bullet for her. The rest of my teammates arrived, and the last thing I heard was a certain angelic healer, reaching out towards me.

"Heroes never die [Y/N]."

Time skip

I groaned, my head swirled with even more pain and I couldn't move at all. I gathered my strength and got up, I was in the Overwatch headquarters' hospital bed. Next to me was a whole lot of cards and presents, seemingly from all my friends, but what was most eye-catching, was Amelie, who was sleeping on a chair next to me. The afternoon sun dimmed her overall features, and she was leaning against the edge of my bed, her hand holding mine. I smiled to myself, thinking how beautiful she was. I coughed a little bit, but was enough to wake her up and she looked towards me. Her eyes were red from fatigue, her glossy hair was loose.

"Mon amour you're awake." I smiled at her, embracing this quiet moment between two lovers, her voice felt relaxing, I sighed.

"I've been shot many times, how's this diffrent?" She returned back to her stoic state.

"[Y/N], that bullet had poison that could kill anyone instantly, fortunately as Dr. Ziegler said, your immune system was strong enough to last out for a few seconds, giving her enough time to treat you. Now you must recover." She kissed me on the head, whilst massaging my hand, eyes locked on mine.

"...I missed you." She smiled and got up, blowing me a kiss, she walked away. Before I closed my eyes, my phone vibrated next to the bed. I picked it up and it was a message from someone.

Hey! It's Raven here, just checking in. you haven't been doing missions for some time, so boss wants me to ask you if everything is okay. By the way, we haven't met in a long time, so I was wondering if you could meet me at that Cafe we use to go to..to...catch up. -Raven.

I smiled, Raven was a childhood friend of mine and she also works at the same place I do for outside missions. She uses the bow and arrow, just like Hanzo, but their personality is entirely opposite. I messaged back I would meet her, and she responded very quickly. I sighed and put my phone back onto the metal table, and Angela walked in, with a cheerful smile on her face.

"How are you today [Y/N]?" I smiled back.

"I guess I'm fine." She smiled back and did a check up on me. After she finished, she left me alone once again with myself. I closed my eyes, feeling immense warmth from my heart. 

I stretched my eyes open, and stood up, Angela told me that I was released from recovery after I took a nap so I went to the closest restroom and changed into my normal uniform, discarding the hospital gown and grabbing my phone and sniper. Once I walked out, I was met with Reindhart, who flashed a grin at me and crushed me (hug-wise). I laughed along with him and greeted the other members, thanking the doctor as well. Afterwards, I walked back to my room and found Amelie lying on my bed, reading another book, she looked towards me and got off my bed.

"So you're back." I nodded and smiled at her. I yearned to kiss her but with Jack in front of my door..it was hard to. I turned to Jack.

"Yes?" 

"Just wanted to say hope you're better, you're off for now...since we've heard what happened a few days ago...Hope you take it in better." He patted me on the shoulder and I smiled back at him. It quickly became awkward of how the assassin who killed my father, was right behind me, and who was also my lover. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.
