The Life of A Vampire-Vampire Hunter.

Zero let out a sigh as he slumped against the brick wall of a building on the main street. He was waiting for his partner, though he would rather work alone, he was told he would need an extra set of hands this time round.

Kaito came out from the building with another assignment. Waving it in front of Zero's rather irritated face he said "Just another level E", he said whilst rolling his eyes, "I dont want to be paired up with you either you know" as if reading Zero's exact thoughts. Kaito let out a sigh and began walking, "C'mon" he called out stuffing their assignment in his coat pocket. Zero reluctantly followed him.

Their assignment stated that there were strange ubductions in a nearby village, they had to investigate and kill the suspect. 'Easy' they thought.

Zero walked along a cobblestone street until his foot crunched down hard on something, it snaped in two. It was a bone. A human bone. Zero picked it up and Kaito picked up another piece. "Just like you to step on the evidence" Kaito remarked.

"Shut it!" Zero snapped. Zero reached into his coat pocket and pulled ot the bloody rose, he pointed it straight towards Kaito. "Hey hold on a minute here, I know we aren't best buddies but no need for the heavy artillery", Kaito protested with his hands in the air. Zero fired and hit his target.

The vampire turned to ash behind Kaito. Kaito turned to see a pile of dust. "That was easy" he said, "I didn't have to do anything".

"That was too easy" Zero said unhappy that there was still more work to do. He marched pass Kaito towards the village.

Kaito put a firm grip on Zero's shoulder and Zero turned his head and glared at him, "What?!" he asked more irritated than before. Kaito pointed to an alley they had just passed and nodded at Zero intently. Zero smelt it too. Fresh blood. They both dashed into the ally and found another vampire , feasting on its human prey. The young girl it was feeding on had gone limp. She was dead. "Tch! Lousy--

Zero went to shoot again but Kaito threw him down. There were other vampires ontop of the roof who were starting to attack. Zero and Kaito got out of the narrow alley and let the level E's to a wide open street. Kaito managed to kill many of them and Zero got distracted by another scent of blood on the wind as a level E attacked him Kaito got inbetween them and killed it, injuring his arm in the process.

Zero ran in the direction of the scent, so familiar he had to find it.

"You're welcome!" Kaito called out to the running Zero. "Geeze, look at this mess" Kaito complained as he held his bleeding arm tightly.

It was then that Zero came apon the level E mentioned in the report. A tall, thin woman with long dark hair stood before him, she was as stunning as she was deadly. She came at Zero with an intent to kill. Zero blocked her attack and pinned her to the ground, bloody rose pointed at her neck, she thrashed about wildly, baring her fangs. Zero shot her and her body turned to dust.

He looked up to see a figure in the distance that looked to be holding a scythe.

"Beat me to it, Zero?", it was a female voice, young and cheerful. The figure soon disappeared.

Zero got up and just stood there. Kaito approached him from behind and peered over his shoulder. "Who was that?", he asked "You didn't let her go did you?!"

Zero didn't answer, instead he just smirked.

"The princess wants to be a vampire hunter".

The end ..
